Welcoming with "Why such doubts?" Bodhisattva and others are called Dharani. Prajnaparamita refers to the nature that corresponds to the decisive aspect. Therefore, because it is the most excellent of all worldly dharmas, it possesses the object and aspect called the excellence of Dharma, having three aspects. As it is said: "The action of that Samadhi, predictions and pride are exhausted, the three are one in essence, Samadhi is non-conceptual. Thus, the decisive part is in accordance, small, medium, and large." Thus it is proclaimed. Thus it teaches: Having thus made the distinction of Dharma, when meditating on the selflessness of all dharmas with a mind of equanimity, when gradually the attachment to the appearance of different meanings disappears, because the light of wisdom slightly appears, and one can only see a little for a moment, this is the stage belonging to the warm position. That is said to be the Samadhi of obtaining appearance in this Great Vehicle. When, in order to increase that appearance of Dharma, one strives to meditate on selflessness with diligence, and the light of wisdom becomes moderately clear, it is the stage of the peak. That is the Samadhi called the increase of appearance. When one abides in mind-only, because there is no attachment to external objects, and a very clear knowing appearance arises, it is the stage of forbearance. Because one follows without the aspect of the apprehended, it is the Samadhi that has entered into one aspect of the meaning of Suchness. Again, when the distracted appearance of grasping at objects disappears, and the light of wisdom becomes complete, it is the stage of the supreme worldly Dharma. That is called the uninterrupted Samadhi. All these stages are said to be the ground of conduct by aspiration, because the special aspiration is stable. The Bodhisattva who abides on this ground, even if he is an ordinary being, has completely passed beyond all the decline of childishness, and possesses countless qualities such as Samadhi, Dharani, liberation, and supernormal powers.

It is said in the Jewel Cloud Sutra that it possesses merits. Thus, after showing the differences in the objects, aspects, and nature of those that conform to the part of certainty, the Blessed One initially proclaimed that the conceptualization that grasps from the meaning, which possesses four conceptualizations, is the basis of all things, that is, "Blessed One, if a Bodhisattva Mahasattva learns in that way," etc., what is he thinking? Because he thought that he was learning in the conventional of speech, he proclaimed "If he learns in that way," etc. Shariputra, not understanding the intention of the Blessed One, asked, "Then what Dharma should one actually learn?" To this, because the conceptualization that relies solely on the basis will be related to reversal, the Blessed One said that in the ultimate sense, one does not learn anything, that is, "One does not learn any Dharma." If one is learning, then how can one not learn? To welcome this doubt, he introduced it with "Why is that?" and proclaimed "Shariputra, those Dharmas," etc. Because they possess all afflicted Dharmas, they are childish. Because they are separated from pure Dharmas, they are ordinary beings. They themselves do not believe in this kind of Dharma, they do not hear much, so they are not endowed with hearing. In this way, due to the power of the conceptualization of ignorance, they cling to things that seem to exist, but in reality do not exist, therefore they learn in the conventional, but do not learn in the ultimate sense. If it does not exist in that way, then it does not actually exist elsewhere. Even so, because they cling to things, there will be faults, so with this thought they said, "Blessed One, then what is it like?" Or, in order to eliminate the object of reversal, although it was said that "It appears to be clung to in that way, but it does not actually exist," even so, he bestowed the teaching that "It does not actually exist," that is, he said "How does it not exist," etc. The meaning is that if you analyze with reason, it does not exist, and if you do not examine it in that way, it exists in the conventional simply because it is pleasing, and in reality it exists in non-existence.
