Thus it was said. "By what" means that because it is a postposition of a word, it is a synonym for "from what." "Immeasurable" refers to approximately representing the countless, etc. "Categories" means completely distinguishing. Because it is well-spoken, repeating its words, it is "Subhuti, how is this said," etc. Like this, repeating and teaching, it is said "Subhuti, by what categories," etc. "By what" refers to the very nature of the essence of Dharma. Although it is ultimately the nature of emptiness, by distinguishing with discriminations and antidotes, there is nothing that cannot be overcome, or with nine such as special samadhi, or with the power of great skillful means, in order, with the desire realm, etc., the nine kinds, as it is said, the nine aspects arising continuously, one should know that this is the path of cultivation. It is said thus: "Because that is continuous, small, medium, and large, etc., with distinctions such as small of small, it is considered that there are nine kinds of aspects." Thus it was said. Exercising dominion over each aspect, stating the result, because it is said that it produces countless, immeasurable, and limitless fruits of merit with different meanings, then isn't the difference of causes also many kinds? Thinking, how is it said that there are nine kinds of paths of cultivation? Therefore, he asked, "Bhagavan, immeasurable," etc. The answer is saying "Subhuti, immeasurable," etc., meaning that the kinds of the path of cultivation are the nature of the three doors of liberation. Because it is the ultimate of the extreme, recognizing that it is a synonym for the ninth kind, therefore he asked, "Bhagavan, what," etc. "By other dharmas" refers to the first kind, etc., is it not a synonym for all other dharmas? Answering his words, it is said "Subhuti, what do you think," etc. "All dharmas" refers to the aspects of the first kind, etc.

English
So. The meaning of emptiness is that all dharmas have equal reason, so the Tathagata proclaimed all these aspects as the essence of the three doors of liberation. After showing that all aspects are synonyms for emptiness, the meaning of the enumeration is, "Subhuti, whatever is emptiness is also inexhaustible," and so on. Whatever is emptiness is also immeasurable, and the word "also" refers to the innumerable, and so on. Why? Because all the forms of expression that express the innumerable and the immeasurable, etc., depend on looking at cessation. In the various natures of seeming near arising, one meaning is well connected. Therefore, as it is said, in the ultimate sense, one should not regard the nature of what is said as separate paths of meditation. As it is said, it is like Subhuti, therefore, and so on. These refer to the innumerable, and so on. As it is said, the nature of the great compassion of mindfulness and the nature of the Dharma, which is in accordance with the cause of the Dharma realm, are shown as they are described in the conventional truth. The Tathagata intends to show that great fruits arise for childish beings. As it is said, it is like Subhuti, these are expressible, and so on. These refer to the innumerable, and so on. What is said to be the accomplishment of the teaching is that this teaching can accomplish and is happy, so the accomplishment of the teaching is the Dharmakaya. In the conventional truth of speech, it is said like this, and the sentences are connected like this. It is also said: The innumerable teachings, etc., are not allowed in the ultimate truth, but in the conventional truth, with great compassion, the Able One intends those causes. It is said like this. Because it shows the cause of the great compassion of the Tathagata, therefore, it is said that all these should become its objects, just like the Bhagavan Tathagata Arhat, and so on. All dharmas refer to the first nine aspects, and so on. Dharma nature refers to the principle of nirvana. By saying "interval," it refers to quantity.

English
Grasping onto non-existence, etc. The term "unspeakable" is used because there is no distinction between letters and meanings. The term "spoken" refers to what has just been shown. The phrase "all dharmas are also like that" refers to form, etc. Because of the well-spokenness, like "that, that is so," etc., it is subsequently proclaimed as before. Why is that? After welcoming the doubt, the Blessed One spoke of "Subhuti," etc. The term "emptiness of all dharmas" means that having abandoned the distinctions of knowable objects, etc., it is spoken of as emptiness. Therefore, all dharmas are merely emptiness, so it is the meaning of being unspeakable. Because of the lack of inherent existence, it cannot be spoken of as being the same or different. In the ultimate sense, for the object of the path that wishes to manifest the nature of reality, it is impossible to establish distinctions in any way. If the incompatible aspects and the compatible aspects cannot be separated and produced in order, is it not so? Asking in this way is "Blessed One, what," etc. What is truly spoken is "Subhuti, it is not so." If that is the case, the great ground of the path of cultivation, etc., having abandoned the nine categories of conceptualization, there is nothing; the smallest of the small, etc., having obtained the nine categories of the path, there is also nothing, therefore it is unnecessary. With the thought of establishing non-desire, therefore asking "Blessed One, if," etc. The term "for the meaning of the unspeakable" refers to the path of cultivation. Because it is its function, will there also be no increase or decrease for generosity, etc.? Asking in this way is "also for the perfection of generosity," etc. If it becomes like that, what fault would one think there is? Asking "Blessed One, if," etc. The term "how" is abandonment, it is a negative word. For the sake of accumulation, asking "Blessed One, the perfections have been completely fulfilled," etc. It is also said: For the unspeakable dharma, decline.
