It should be understood that the nature of the Dharmadhatu is shown by distinguishing between elimination and non-elimination. In order to show that those profound things such as emptiness are also free from the two extremes of superimposition and denial, the question is asked in a roundabout way: "Bhagavan," and so on. What follows "Bhagavan" is the remainder. In order to show the meaning of the answer, "Subhuti, this is" and so on were said. Similarly, in order to welcome the doubt of "Why is that?", "Subhuti, form is" and so on were said. The question "Why is this?" is because "Subhuti, how is form profound?" and so on were said. The answer is "Subhuti, as its suchness, form is profound" and so on. Just as emptiness is profound, so too in suchness, the unarisen form and so on are also profound, which is a synonym. This also prevents the extreme of superimposition that there are forms and so on in suchness. How is the suchness of form, form is profound, as it is said: "Whatever is dependent arising, you consider that to be empty." As it is said, the suchness of form and so on is only conventional, and if one does not cling to form and so on, it is a delightful meaning. This also eliminates the extreme of denial that suchness is different from form and so on. The summary is that "Subhuti, in what is form absent?" and so on were said. With the words "as far as," it can be understood that the clinging to reality is prevented and the non-clinging to reality is established. "By subtle means" means in a fearless manner. "Eliminating from form and so on, also shows Nirvana" is because form and so on are prevented in suchness, so in order to eliminate attachment to form and so on, it is eliminated, and because one is accustomed to emptiness in it, Nirvana is also mentioned. In short, the meaning is: in emptiness and so on there are no forms and so on, and emptiness and so on are not different from form and so on, this is in order.

That which is liberated from the extremes of superimposition and denigration is the profound nature of emptiness and so forth. As such, there is no emptiness and so forth, and because of that, emptiness and so forth possess profoundness, therefore the path of meditation is profound. "Amazing!" is said because it is wonderful to express two meanings simultaneously as one and only. It is also said: The path of meditation is profound, profound is emptiness and so forth, that profoundness is liberation from the extremes of superimposition and denigration. Having thus shown the distinction, the path of meditation, which possesses distinction, is taught, such as Subhuti, Prajnaparamita, and so forth. "Become mindful" is by the wisdom of the nature of hearing. "Become measured" is by the nature of thinking. "Become definitely realized" is by the nature of meditation. Or, it is the wisdom arising from the preliminary practice, the actual practice, and the subsequent practice of samadhi, which should be combined in order. Furthermore, what is the object of the path of meditation? It is said, "I" and so forth. Among them, concerning myself, from the Prajnaparamita, making the power of the corresponding aspect of ascertainment, one should abide as one has thought. Similarly, concerning myself, from the Prajnaparamita, making the power of the path of seeing, one should train as it is now taught. Concerning myself, from the Prajnaparamita, making the power of the path of meditation, one should accomplish as it is shown, one should say thus. It is also said: On the branch of ascertainment and the path of seeing, on the path and the path of meditation itself, again and again mindfulness and, measurement and definite realization, the path of meditation. It is said thus. Therefore, concerning the four parts of ascertainment and the power of the path of seeing and the path of meditation, those who accomplish thus, thus closely mindful and, thus closely realizing and, thus skillfully combining and, thus diligent and, thus striving, these six words are spoken. How is that the object of the path of meditation? Continuous

Since the former is the realm of the latter and the latter, there is no fault. Asking about the meaning of the benefits of the path of meditation, it is said, "Bodhisattva Mahasattva," etc. If a Bodhisattva practices on Bodhisattvas, etc., and even if he only practices this path of meditation properly for one day, then how much merit will he create in that one day? This is the meaning of the question. The meaning of the answer is said to be "Subhuti, for example," etc. The so-called "acting in desire" is because even for inferior objects, attachment is increased even more. The so-called "acting in discrimination" is because there are many discriminations of desire. The so-called "women with beautiful and beautiful appearances" is because the whole and parts of the body are beautiful, corresponding in order. The so-called "pleasant to see" means that seeing it is followed by joy. The so-called "appointed time" means "you come to such and such place" and so on. The so-called "when powerless" some people think it is for what has not been obtained. Others think it is for what has not been seen. In the beginning, middle, and end, wanting to manifest the great joy of one's own nature, and wanting to complete the conforming affairs, so think like this in order. Rejoice like this. Play like this, etc., all of these follow the wishes, so correspond to "discriminate like this." The so-called "so many" refers to the number equal to the discriminations of a man who acts in desire. The so-called "turning away" is for the purpose of suppressing. The so-called "ultimately abandoning" means not producing what has not been produced before, thereby severing the continuity of rebirth. In this way, because of completely holding the root of immeasurable merit, thereby turning away from samsara for immeasurable kalpas, and having the nature of abandoning and ultimately abandoning, these three benefits are shown in order to know the function of the path of meditation. Whatever is in accordance with the decisive part for this Prajnaparamita, etc.
