The words that negate doing and pervasiveness, which are two distinct natures, are not synonymous. Although they are not of the nature of synonyms, they are not a part of the intended meaning, so this is "of." Is the distinction of "truly" meaningless? Thus, the reasoning that does not deceive is true. When the wisdom arising from the three-mode sign is spoken of as the sound of the ultimate, how can it be truly ultimate, since it is also of the nature of conventional truth? If, by its power, things are established as being without inherent existence, then by whom is it established? It is not reasonable to establish it by itself, because it is contradictory to act on oneself. Nor is it by another valid cognition, because it would lead to an infinite regress. However, if it is established by excluding that wisdom alone, then would it not fail to establish the selflessness of all phenomena? That is good, but nevertheless, because it is in accordance with the ultimate, which is free from all elaborations, the wisdom spoken of in this way is truly ultimate. The very nature of non-inherent existence also comes from that, and it is not contradictory to act on oneself, because it establishes all phenomena of the general characteristic as being without substance, and because the very nature of that wisdom also belongs to the category of that general characteristic. For example, when the knowledge of impermanence arises in all phenomena from reasons such as existence, it is not exclusive to oneself, and thus there is no dispute. If one does not examine the true arising, etc., which are free from superimposition, then is it not spoken of only in the sound of the absence of the very nature of things that are always pleasing? Since the very nature of things is manifest, the very nature of non-inherent existence, which has become its nature, is also only manifest. For example, when one focuses on a place that is devoid of a pot, it is like realizing the emptiness of the pot, which has become its nature. Otherwise, one would fall away from the non-difference of establishment and happiness, and even from that, things would not become without inherent existence, because they are related to the nature of non-inherent existence.

Because there is no such thing. Nor is it a relationship of characteristics arising from it, because that is not permissible as a result of the non-existence of things. Therefore, It is not realized by children through direct perception, so direct perception harms it. Similarly, as the nature of the object of observation, since it does not appear, just like a pot, self-nature does not exist, because it can be established as the name of "non-existence," so it is merely non-existence, therefore inference harms it. If someone says that just as the moon of the rabbit (Tibetan: རི་བོང་ཅན།) is not the moon, even ordinary people such as shepherdesses cannot realize the non-existence of self-nature, so fame also harms it, which is difficult to refute. That is not true, because in this way, being devoid of the imputed aspects of things is called self-naturelessness, and even if it is grasped by clinging to the self-nature of things, like a moment, due to confusion, it is the self-nature obscured by the imputed aspect of true arising, so children cannot ascertain it, and since certainty does not arise, because there is no direct perception, direct perception does not harm it. Similarly, even if it is grasped, because it cannot be named, it is just like not being grasped, so this is not the nature of the object of observation, therefore inference does not harm it. Because it is distinguished by the term "ultimate," there is no denial of things that exist in name, so fame also does not harm it. If that is the case, then what is this? It should not be said that it is unreasonable to be confused because there is no seed, so how can it be the imputed aspect? Because what connection is there between the confusion of truth and falsehood? For the time being, it is not its self-nature, because truth and falsehood are contradictory. Nor does it arise from it, because falsehood is not a result. Therefore, its immediate cause is only the previous conventional, so there is no contradiction. The cause of that cause is also only the previous conventional, because such a causal continuum is without beginning, so there is no confusion without an immediate cause. How is it determined separately?
