When speaking, it is because one does not fully understand the aggregates such as form. Not understanding through elaboration is because when saying things like "form is the characteristic of being able to become form," one does not comprehend the meaning within. Because of not understanding, when saying "form has twenty aspects," one does not comprehend the meaning within. Subhuti, it is also said "the one who speaks the Dharma," etc., because the Dharma speaker and the listeners desire to give and desire to go to other places, simply because the objects of their desires are different. For the sake of abandoning the pursuit of gain and being content with little desire, it is said, "Subhuti, also the one who speaks the Dharma is one who pursues material things," etc. This very explanation speaks of those who possess and do not possess the qualities of training. In this way, in order, simply because of pursuing gain, etc., it shows that one does not possess the qualities of training, and simply because of great desire and contentment, etc., it shows that one possesses the qualities of training. For the sake of the meaning of the nature of good and non-good dharmas, it is said, "Subhuti, also," etc. Among them, simply because one possesses good Dharma, it is faith. The opposite of that is non-faith. What is shown in this explanation is emptiness and miserliness. In this way, "wanting to completely give away wealth," etc., is the giving of the listener; "if one does not want to speak," etc., is the miserliness of the speaker. This itself speaks of giving and not accepting. In this way, as before, the giving of the listener and the contentment with little desire of the speaker show not accepting. In order to understand the meaning through general and detailed explanations, it is said, "Subhuti, also the listener of the Dharma is," etc. "Wanting to comprehend the meaning," etc., is because one understands the meaning through general explanation, so one wants to realize the meaning. "Because it becomes an obstacle to the Dharma," etc., is because one enters into abandoning the true Dharma. "Those sutras do not exist in the form of books, etc." "If one does not enter," etc., is because one understands the meaning through detailed explanation, so one does not enter the path of comprehending it. "Not finding the Dharma speaker," etc., is speaking and not

encounter. Saying disagreement means "I should not listen," which is a word of disagreement. For the sake of understanding and not understanding the Dharma of Sutras and so on, the Blessed One said, "Subhuti, furthermore," and so on. Wanting to explain means wanting to speak by understanding the Dharma of Sutras and so on. If you do not want to listen, it means that those Dharmas of Sutras and so on, because of not understanding, are contrary to wanting to become a Hearer. Having and not having the six perfections, this is called the work of Mara, which is what this commentary says, like this wanting to say, this refers to having the six perfections with the intention of benefiting sentient beings. Saying not wanting to listen, this refers to relying on disagreement, showing being separated from generosity and so on. This is the third ten. Skilled in means and not skilled in means, and those who have obtained and not obtained dharanis, and wanting to copy letters and not wanting to copy letters, and being separated from and not separated from desires and so on, with the listener as the head. The teaching is that the Blessed One said, "Subhuti, furthermore, the Dharma listener," and so on, because the listener becomes heavy due to drowsiness and so on, so not wanting to listen refers to corresponding to the prohibited object and so on, and the Dharma speaker's wanting to explain refers to corresponding to the unprohibited object and so on, it should be understood. The meaning of what has been said, with the Dharma speaker as the head to teach, the Blessed One said, "Subhuti, furthermore, the Dharma speaker is drowsy," and so on. For the purpose of turning towards the actions of the lower realms, for that purpose, the Blessed One said, "Subhuti, furthermore, writing the Prajnaparamita," and so on, three. Like this, so-called suffering, the suffering of hell is the burning of the body in Avici hell and so on. The suffering of animals is eating each other and so on. The suffering of pretas is hunger and thirst and so on. The suffering of all Asuras is the fear of the wheel of Vishnu and so on. The suffering of conditioning is the aggregates of conditioning such as birth and so on.
