Or, connect the sentence "practicing with the mind of combination and conclusion, meditating with the mind of the main practice." Regarding "not abiding in form," etc., among them, that which has the characteristic of being corruptible is form. That which has the characteristic of experiencing is feeling. That which has the characteristic of apprehending signs is perception. That which has the characteristic of manifesting mental formations is the formations. That which has the characteristic of understanding is consciousness. Form is also divided into three types: the form of complete imputation, because it is imputed in the manner of grasper and grasped. The form of arising from discrimination, because it is an unreal complete imputation, therefore, consciousness appears in that way, therefore it arises from discrimination. The form of the nature of reality, because in the ultimate sense, form itself is completely established as the nature of emptiness. For feeling, etc., it should also be stated in the same way. The order of form, etc., is like this: the order is coarse and all afflictions, vessel, etc., meaning realms as they are. Because it does not exist in the ultimate sense, one should not abide in form, etc., by clinging to form, etc., as real, meaning do not make it the support of the mind. It is said: because form, etc., of selflessness is the essence that is separate from the nature of form, etc., therefore, one clings to form, etc., that should not be abided in and has faults. Why cling in that way? To eliminate that doubt, welcome it with "why," and then state it in a negative way, that is, "if one abides in form," etc. One thinks, the difference of clinging itself is the aspect, it is the ultimate of abiding in the object, therefore, one should consider that clinging is completely consistent with the aspect. Therefore, if one abides in form with aspects such as impermanence, then at that time, the manifestation of making form will appear, that is, practicing in the conceptual thought of striving for form. In that case, it is also not practicing the Prajnaparamita that is mainly the tiny peak. Similarly, it should also be combined for feeling, etc.

Thus it is said, from the perspective of the nature of reality, the aspect is understood as follows: Just as in the ultimate truth, all phenomena such as form and emptiness are of the same essence with each other, therefore, emptiness does not have impermanence, etc. Because form, etc., should not exist with aspects such as permanence and impermanence, it is called non-abiding. Just like in the manner of the Short Perfection of Wisdom Sutra, in the Twenty-five Thousand Verse Sutra, it is said: Form is emptiness, emptiness is form. World-Honored One, the impermanence of form is also emptiness, emptiness is also the impermanence of form, and so on. Because it is unreasonable to meditate without mental engagement, how can one practice with mental engagement and not be practicing? Having such doubts, the text addresses them by saying, "Why cling?" and then stating, "For those who engage in mental engagement." One might think, "Mental engagement is conceptual thought, and the Perfection of Wisdom is non-conceptual. So, how can clinging to that very nature and engaging in conceptual thought be practicing the Perfection of Wisdom? Rather, one should practice like an illusory person." The three phrases, "Not completely grasping, not engaging in yoga, and not completely perfecting," should be viewed as the stages of preparation, main practice, and conclusion, respectively, according to their numerical order. The Perfection of Wisdom primarily has the nature of the Short Perfection of Wisdom Sutra. Regarding "not completely grasping," etc., "not completely grasping" means that if one completely grasps and appropriates mental engagements that should not be grasped, then the omniscient wisdom will not necessarily arise. Omniscient wisdom, here, for the three omniscient wisdoms, is generally explained as the sound of omniscience. In other places, it should also be understood accordingly. How should mental engagement be grasped appropriately? Having such doubts, the text addresses them by saying, "Why?" Regarding the Perfection of Wisdom, form...

It is said, "There is no complete grasping," and so on. Thinking, since the nature of objects such as form that appear is not existent by reason, there is nothing to be grasped in the Perfection of Wisdom. Because the appearance of that object is false, it is not to be grasped, that is what is thought. To show that, it is said, "Whatever form is not completely grasped, that is not form," and so on. It is thought that establishment and negation are because the objects are different. Because it would lead to perversion, it is said that one should not be attached to the Perfection of Wisdom either, it is said, "The Perfection of Wisdom is also completely ungrasped." To summarize, it is said, "Thus," and so on. "Thus" means to grasp definitely as it is. The small samadhi belonging to the peak that arises from such an object and aspect, it is said, "This also," and so on. Whatever samadhi that has meaning and name in all phenomena such as form, in which there is nothing to be grasped, is called that. The realm of phenomena is vast, so it is vast. What has been done in front is because the differences of object and aspect as mentioned before exist in the mind, so the noble Vimuktisena said. Therefore, some reciting "not done in front" should not be grasped. Certainty as immeasurable is because of separately ascertaining all aspects of knowledge. Or because of the combination of great compassion and wisdom, it is certain to do the benefit of immeasurable beings, so it is certain as immeasurable. Uncommon, because it is particularly superior with the five aspects such as the object mentioned before, so others cannot understand it. The meaning of the intermediate object that is said is "Omniscience also." The word "also" indicates that impermanence and so on and emptiness are completely grasped. Why is there no complete grasping? It is said, "Sign," and so on. Sign is common.
