The arising of the earth and the external sense organs that have transformed from arising, it is only by seeing them as empty that one can truly follow and see. The inner and outer forms, both of which are aggregates, are emptiness of both inner and outer. If one thinks that one can see things other than form, then it must be explained that knowledge is different from form. If so, how can it be said that this person has clearly entered the practice of Dharma? One must explain the categories of words, and so on. The category of words itself, that is, this difference of the place of yoga, because of faith, abides in the place of practice, so it is said that the wandering mendicant believes. But this realization is not real. Because the wandering mendicant, for this omniscient wisdom without characteristics, because he has not realized the true nature, and is not of sharp faculties, it is said that he follows with faith. If he realizes the true nature, then he has become a follower of the Dharma. Some people think so. If the faculties are dull, how can one have faith? It is said that one takes Dharma nature as the measure, and thus has faith. Due to the power of past habituation, if one takes the infallible Dharma nature of the Prajnaparamita as the measure, then one will have faith in this realm of no characteristics. Therefore, he does not completely grasp with any fabricated Dharma. Nor does he think that there is any Dharma that needs to be taken or abandoned, nor does he cling to the Dharma that needs to be taken or abandoned, nor does he cling to the Dharma that exists. For the time being, let go of other views, he will not even think that he has attained Nirvana, because he has not realized the true nature. The way of the place of yoga mentioned here is to negate self-nature through the way of Dharma nature, so that one does not cling to form and so on. The example of the wandering mendicant is because he is related to non-Buddhists, and after coming out of meditation, he further uses the power of faith to understand that meaning as evidence of manifestation. The meaning of the great object that is spoken of refers to the Blessed One also being like this and so on. This "this" refers to

It will be explained below. The word "also" means that it is not only what was said before. To show this, "whatever form" etc. are mentioned. The word "whatever" is a suffix that means "for what reason," meaning that it is because the characteristics of form etc. are not seen as they really are. If so, if everything is prevented because there is no object, then wouldn't bodhisattvas, like śrāvakas, enter into nirvāṇa? Therefore, "the ten powers of the Tathāgata" etc. are mentioned. The ten powers of the Tathāgata etc. will be explained below. "Not completely perfected" means that because others possess a little bit, it is connected to "not completely perfecting all the Buddha's teachings." The word "and" means certainty. "With an undying body, experiencing feelings, like a lamp extinguished, their mind is liberated." This sentence means that because nirvāṇa is forbidden in the Mahāyāna, the Lotus Sutra is taken as the standard until the activity of benefiting sentient beings is temporarily cut off. During this time, if the characteristic of no-sign is manifested like a śrāvaka, then by the power of great skillful means, one does not enter nirvāṇa. In the case of being in accordance with the definitive aspect, it is impossible for a śrāvaka to enter nirvāṇa, so "gradually" refers to the remainder. Therefore, "therefore" etc. is a summary. Thus, it is said that with emptiness of self-nature itself as suchness, then what is said is that form etc. with the distinction of not seeing characteristics such as blue are the object. If in what way is it the object? The Blessed One also said "etc." "Like this" refers to the order explained below. "Detailed examination" is because during meditation, one examines separately how to ascertain the meaning of the object of focus. "Definite thought" is because during hearing and thinking, one definitely understands the scriptures and reasoning. "What is this" refers to what is this among the aggregates such as form. Or, is it substance and quality? Is it action or activity? Is it a collection? Is it a generality? Is it a particularity?
