Now it is said that even in the interval of the cause, it is unbearable because the aggregates of karma, etc., are unrelated to numbers, etc. Due to the blessing of the Bhagavan, the sons of the gods respectfully stated, "Bhagavan, just like this..." etc. Because it possesses the activity of showing the path to sentient beings who are tamed by the three vehicles, it is a great dedication made for the benefit of sentient beings. In order to understand how it is like that, it is said, "That is like this..." etc. Because whenever one possesses skillful means, just this one point can overwhelm the accumulation of merit that is immeasurable, etc., and extremely famous, therefore it is a great dedication, which is the meaning of the words. Because of truly relying on, believing in the excellence that arises from faith, with offerings as the forerunner, the meaning of praise is spoken, that is, "From the Thirty-three..." etc. Because of extremely scattering and scattering in front and in all places, it is the distinction of the meaning of sequentially manifesting extreme scattering. Similarly, from other hosts of gods as well... refers to the No-Conflict Gods, etc. Thus, like the Thirty-three, they utter the sound of "It is a great dedication..." etc., and repeatedly chant, echoing the sound. Similarly, connect, which means that at the end of all the commentaries of "It is a great dedication..." etc., connect the concluding words of the two sentences "Thus, the sound is uttered and the sound is echoed." Accumulating for such a long time... refers to approaching accomplishment over a long period of time. Accomplishing greatly and truly... refers to the accomplishment of many actions. Furthermore, in order to show the great nature of dedication, from then on, the Bhagavan said, "The son of the gods of the Pure Abode..." etc. Even though the merit born of generosity, the actions of manifesting accumulation, etc., are very great, but because actions, etc., are produced in small times, it is a dedication.

It is greeted with the question, "How can one tolerate the cause of the object of the meritorious act of dedication?" Thus, it is said, "Bodhisattva," and so on. It is thought that having an object is contrary to valid cognition and is inverted. Although rejoicing is preliminary, by cultivating faith and attention, for all the roots of virtue that are accomplished, like an illusory person, meditating on all phenomena as unattainable, for the benefit of all sentient beings, completely dedicating to the unsurpassed perfect enlightenment, therefore, for all sentient beings, the Bodhisattva shows the path of definite liberation by the three vehicles, with the activity of showing the near path, having this dedication in mind, merely clinging to some appearances, in order to counteract this, in the manner of explanation, for the benefit of those of inferior faculties, twelve kinds of divisions are made. In order to avert the contempt of those with sharp intelligence, a very extensive distinction is made. It is said thus: Dedication has special qualities, by this it is the supreme action, this is a kind of non-appearance, it is the nature of non-inversion. Solitude and the accumulation of Buddha's merit, is the object of self-remembrance, having skillful means without characteristics, and rejoicing in the Buddha, not belonging to the three realms, small, medium, and large, other dedications are of three kinds, it is the nature of increasing merit. It is said thus. By the attention of rejoicing, one obtains the equality of the meritorious deeds of oneself and others, therefore, after that, in order to cultivate the attention of rejoicing, it is said, "Those Bhagavat," and so on. What is meant by "how much" is how many kinds. Not grasping, not making a conceited mind, what is called non-objectification, is that very nature, it should be connected with the situation of application and so on. Not discriminating, not discriminating, not truly not seeing, should be connected in order with past, future, and having. Accomplishing by discrimination, is not true.

It is because it arises from the pervasive realization of the object. Having arisen in that way, the nature of self and generality is separated, and in sequence, the unborn is definitely unborn, that is it. Because there is no coming from the past, etc., it is without coming. Because it will not go to the future, it is without going. Dharma-nature means the nature of illusion. Just these means the words used to express these aspects just mentioned. Liberation as it is means how to be free from the obscurations of both afflictions and knowledge, and how to truly possess the nature of the unborn. In reality, because it does not possess all the laws of affliction, it is not bound by them. Because it is free from the laws of purity, it is not liberated. Because it has the manifestation of seeing everything, it has no obstruction, it has the nature of knowing, in order to benefit sentient beings, it truly shows the difference between the nature of karma and fruit, the Bhagavan who has great compassion, therefore, he specially declared that even if it transcends the root consciousness, it also truly abides in seeing all dharmas. Not abiding in samsara and nirvana, so it is for the unattached. When rejoicing, saying dedication is stated at the same time as rejoicing. Illusion itself cannot obtain great samsara, for this, it is explained as being indestructible because it is not destroyed. Performing good deeds with the body means that there are no three evil deeds of the body such as killing. Performing good deeds with speech means that it is free from the four evil deeds of speech such as lying. Performing good deeds with the mind means that it is free from the three evil deeds of the mind such as greed. As before, why? After asking this question, with the same intention, it is said that, like this, those Bodhisattvas are all with objects, etc. Revealing faults means speaking divisive words, harsh words, and idle talk. Beating means beating with sticks, etc. Even if explained in detail, it is emphasized.
