etc., because there is no such attachment. Therefore, precisely because it cannot be said to be that itself and others, since it transcends the nature of things, it cannot be said to be truly existent like persons, etc. Because it is directly established for children and has become an object of experience, it cannot be definitively said to be non-existent in the conventional sense like cognition, etc. Therefore, whatever arises dependently is of a nature that transcends the terms of existence and non-existence in the ultimate sense, like an illusion. These things, such as sentient beings, are also the same. This is based on some meanings that are widely known through the reasoning of nature. In order to establish the unknown meaning, the metaphor of illusion is used. The reason is that those sentient beings are also merely of the nature of illusion. Therefore, in reality, there is no saying that there is mind. The two words "like an illusion" and "like a dream" are spoken according to the difference in the objects of the state of being awake and not awake. Non-duality means that the essence is the same. How is that? It is said that it cannot be made into two, that is, it is said of something in which there are no multiple divisions, because it encompasses everything and is pervasive. This is what is believed. The meaning of that statement is that because it is a false entity, those sentient beings are like illusions. Therefore, illusions and sentient beings are non-dual, they cannot be made into two. Similarly, because it is like a dream, therefore dreams and those sentient beings are non-dual, they cannot be made into two. In order to show that difference, it is said that all the dharmas of the sons of the gods are also, etc. This is a summary of the essentials. What is said for the sake of distinction is that even the stream-enterer is, etc. After showing pervasiveness in that way, someone said, "Lord, if it is like an illusion, then how can it be the cause of the perfection of all qualities?" The noble Subhuti, perfectly and completely enlightened,
