The Light of Ornament of Realization, a Commentary on the Holy Perfection of Wisdom in Eight Thousand Lines The Light of Ornament of Realization, a Commentary on the Holy Perfection of Wisdom in Eight Thousand Lines Abbreviated Meaning In Sanskrit: Āryaprajñāpāramitāaṣṭasāhasrikāvyākhyāabhisamayālaṃkāraākokanāma. In Tibetan: The Light of Ornament of Realization, a Commentary on the Holy Perfection of Wisdom in Eight Thousand Lines. I prostrate to the भगवती (bhagavatī, blessed one,女性) mother Perfection of Wisdom, who is loving towards faith and possesses immeasurable qualities. I prostrate to the भगवती (bhagavatī, blessed one,女性) Bodhisattva Mahasattva, the holy Mañjuśrīkumārabhūta. I prostrate to the holy Maitreya, the invincible protector. The one who leads the hearers seeking peace to quiescence with omniscience; the one who benefits beings, accomplishing the aims of the world with the knowledge of the path; With what reality are the Buddhas perfectly endowed, who speak of this variety of all perfections? I prostrate to the mother of the Buddhas, together with the assembly of hearers and bodhisattvas. Those who are skilled in the fact that things are like the nature of illusion are the supreme liberation of yogis. Those embodied beings who have completely conquered the multitude of faults from within samsara. The भगवती (bhagavatī, blessed one,女性), loving Maitreya himself, for the sake of guiding all, made a clear and extensive explanation of the way of the Perfection of Wisdom. The one called the holy Asanga, famous and radiant, the supreme one possessing wisdom, he skillfully combined the various definitive explanations of it, by the power of his composition. Those who are arrogant with the pride of knowing the distinction between existence and non-existence, the teacher Vasubandhu attained a place of abiding in the explanation of the meaning in the commentary on the text. The noble Vimuktisena, born with a mind of goodness, possessing wisdom that transcends the world from the essence of meaning through the practice of yoga, greatly exerted himself in connection. The one who pacifies the views of opposing sides as a single individual, who is skilled in the scriptures and possesses realization, the other one famous in the world as Vimuktisena made various explanations. Here, one with weak intelligence like me, formerly

Without, and unable to be spoken, for what reason? The wise ones investigate day after day, what exactly is the true nature of things? I have arisen with the desire to obtain the realm of the very nature of the Dharma that obtains wisdom. Therefore, I am eager to explain the supreme realm of the sacred meaning. Such words and so on, the connection of all, what is to be said, the need, and the need of the need, entering before understanding, is due to the doubt that everything is meaningful. Therefore, for the Prajnaparamita, connections and so on should be explained. Thus, if the connection and what is to be said are not explained, then it will be like mad talk, and because of doubting that it is unconnected and meaningless, no one will be willing to listen. Therefore, the connection and what is to be said must undoubtedly be explained. Similarly, even if the connection and what is to be said already exist, if it cannot especially accomplish the complete action, then "the establisher" also transcends the way of establishing, in a way that is not connected to other sutras, if it lacks the limb of entry, the special need, then even a follower who has faith in the precious Prajnaparamita Sutra will not generate respect even by merely listening. Therefore, in order for those who wish to enter the sutra to be able to enter, first the need belonging to the uncommon fruit of the action should be explained, not belonging to other sutras, otherwise it will become explaining unrelated things. The need is explained at the beginning of the sutra for the purpose of others entering the sutra, not out of lack. If only the words of need are spoken, how can others enter the sutra? If only the need belonging to that sutra is explained, not belonging to other sutras, then no one will enter by explaining the need of other sutras. The sutra is the word that mainly shows the special meaning, not just an empty sound, lacking the ability to say or show meaning. Therefore, what belongs to the category of what is to be said is not what is said. The self of action
