does not reside. If it is said that the fruit of all these is omniscience, that is not correct. Because the main point is that living long is the statement of the fruit. The fruit of abstaining from killing and the perfection of giving is to follow longevity, and it is spoken from the opposite perspective. If it is said that something is the main cause of something, then because the basis that makes it fully grow is nearby, it itself can produce it. If it also becomes the reason for other things, then there is no fault. If one abandons the fruit that is not one-time and definite and produces other fruits, that is not correct. Because it will be absurd that it cannot produce itself even once. Furthermore, it is due to the power of becoming accustomed to the suchness of all dharmas that one transforms into omniscience. The accumulation of merit is what produces its excellent basis, therefore it is in accordance. Therefore, saying that the Bhagavan dies because merit is exhausted is nonsense. If it is thought that the Tathagata enters nirvana because there are no sentient beings to be tamed, then this needs to be examined here: Do the sentient beings tamed by the Buddha's body not exist? Or do those tamed by other forms also not exist? If it is according to the former, then since there are beings who are tamed by showing the form of Indra and so on, why does his form not remain? Those holy beings who have minds under the power of compassion also abide in other guises in order to accomplish the benefit of beings, just as the Bhagavan himself abides in the form of a universal monarch. It is also not possible that there are no beings tamed by the form of Indra and so on, because there is no way to know, because it will be deduced that Indra and so on cannot benefit others. Furthermore, even if there are no beings to be tamed by the Buddha's form in one world, but they exist in countless other worlds, then how can this completely enter nirvana? If it is said that it does not exist in other worlds either, then it should be understood in this way.

There is no such statement. In all the worlds, there are no sentient beings to be tamed by the body of the Buddha. But this is uncertain. If there are, why would one want to completely pass into nirvana for the sake of others? If one says complete nirvana, this itself is not established. Because in one world, if there are no beings to be tamed by showing the body of the Buddha, then showing the nearness of nirvana is for the purpose of accepting those who can be tamed. Even if complete nirvana is shown, in other places, there is no lack of birth, enlightenment, turning the wheel of Dharma, etc. This is the established conclusion. As it is said: The Buddha will not completely pass into nirvana, The Dharma will not perish, For the sake of maturing sentient beings, He shows the passing into nirvana. Like what was said. Furthermore, other noble beings who temporarily wander in samsara, even if they are impoverished by compassion, in order to fully protect the wealth of shame and truth, even if they exhaust all their abilities, they will surely complete the accomplishment of the vowed meaning. Then, for the crown jewel of all noble beings, who have completely transcended the destruction of samsara, who have made shame, truth, and compassion their own nature, the Tathagatas with unobstructed power of wisdom, who with a mind would believe that they would not completely accomplish these? Their vow is also to liberate all sentient beings from suffering. For example, the Bhagavan previously made the aspiration: By this merit may I quickly attain omniscience, Having defeated all the enemies of faults, May I liberate beings from the ocean of samsara, Where the waves of old age, sickness, and death rage. It is also unreasonable to use the word "beings" to refer to a small number of sentient beings, because then it would not become great compassion focused on all sentient beings. Therefore, as long as there is one sentient being, those with compassionate intention should not pass into nirvana. It is limitless.
