It is not contradictory to words like "this." Alternatively, this, which possesses the profound distinctions of the vehicle with the name of the particularly excellent Mahayana, is solely other. Therefore, since only disagreement is shown here, one should not speak of contradiction with other vehicles. Similarly, for other matters of this kind, this should be taken as the answer. The phrase "performing the deeds of sentient beings" means that for some, they perfect the Dharma of higher realms through generosity and so forth. The phrase "completely passing into Nirvana" means that for some, through the Nirvana of Shravakas and so forth, they are definitely placed in the virtuous Dharma. The phrase "definitely making them Shravakas, Pratyekabuddhas, and perfectly complete Buddhas" means that since they realize the virtues and so forth that are in accordance with the definitive aspect, they will undoubtedly attain the Dharma of higher realms and definite goodness, therefore, it is definitely for the sake of placing them elsewhere, that is, establishing them in the certainty of lineage. The term "Buddha-ground" refers to the tenth ground called "Universal Light," which is said to be the realm of the Buddha. The term "Buddha's activity" refers to turning the wheel of Dharma. The term "Buddha's complete Nirvana" refers to the complete Nirvana that is uncommon to Shravakas and so forth. This Nirvana is considered to be a manifestation body. From where does this come? From scripture and reasoning. Like this, whatever has an uninterrupted cause of abiding is not permanent and does not have the nature of being interrupted. For example, smoke and so forth from fire and wood and so forth, which have a fully present cause of abiding with power. The Buddha Bhagavan also has an undiminished cause of abiding. The pervasiveness of the cessation of abiding contradicts the completeness of the cause of abiding, because here the completeness of the cause of abiding is to be proven, therefore it is a contradiction of pervasiveness. The inconsistent Dharma is similar to the cessation of smoke and so forth. The combination of a result not arising from an undiminished existence is contradictory. How is this reason established?

Statement: The reason for not having the complete cause for abiding is it because the ability to accomplish the meaning of sentient beings is completely exhausted? Or is it because of being separated from great compassion? Or is it because of degenerating from mastering the conduct of life? Or is it because the ripening of the karma of the life force abiding has reached its end? Or is it because the beings to be tamed by the Buddha are no longer there? Regarding this, the first distinction does not exist, because it has already been promised that the wisdom of the teacher has unobstructed abilities. If it were not so, then what difference would there be between this and rhinoceros horns, etc.? Just as one who is accustomed to it for a long time will not be disgusted by a clean skull-bearer, because he has become the nature of great compassion, so he will not degenerate without effort, and will completely increase, focusing on tasting that kind of flavor, because he is biased towards that aspect. Because he has not seen faults, he also does not need to make effort, so the second distinction is also non-existent. If the miraculous feet have become accustomed to the extreme, then the third distinction is also unreasonable. It is said: 'Thus, Ananda, if someone cultivates, meditates, and practices the four miraculous feet many times, then if he wishes, he can abide for a kalpa or more than a kalpa. Ananda, the Tathagata has cultivated, meditated, and practiced the four miraculous feet many times, so if he wishes, he can abide for a kalpa or more than a kalpa.' Therefore, the exhaustion of the fruit of life is impossible for a master who has abandoned killing and has accumulated countless kalpas of the perfection of generosity, which has been practiced with countless methods. The nature of cause and effect is such that the most excellent cause produces the most excellent effect, and the non-excellent cause produces the excellent effect. If it were not so, then for the excellent cause and the non-excellent cause, this situation would not occur in the effect, so it would not become a thing that can benefit and be benefited, because it does not depend on the difference that depends on it. The teacher has countless causes of survival without fault, such as not killing other lives, so even for a hundred years
