Because it is only clarified in the Twenty-five Thousand Verses, do not turn around and belittle it. As it is said: In the manner of knowing the path, regarding the four noble truths, through the gate of non-apprehension of characteristics, one should know this Śrāvaka path. Having thus proclaimed the Śrāvaka path, the meaning of heat is shown, that is, the saying "Kauśika, for this reason" and so on is proclaimed. Because the complete understanding of the four truths is in accordance with the part of ascertainment, with realization as the forerunner, therefore, in order for the Bodhisattva to realize the heat, one should meditate that the essence of form is emptiness, and so on for feeling, etc. What is the essence of form, and what is the emptiness of feeling, etc., these two are inseparable and cannot be made into two, thus meditating on their inseparability. This meaning is also shown by this saying, "having donned great armor." Moreover, it is said in the intermediate Mother Sutra: How does a Bodhisattva don great armor? Subhūti, it is when a Bodhisattva realizes the non-duality of all phenomena of emptiness, and so on. It is also said: In the noble Śrāvaka path, because the aggregates such as form are emptiness, the emptinesses are without difference, heat. In order to show the peak, it is said, "do not abide in form," etc., meaning in the manner of an object of focus. And saying "do not abide in the eye," etc., and "do not abide in mindfulness," etc., and "do not abide in the fruit of stream-entry," etc., these are in order to show the distinctions of the five aggregates of the contaminated, the two, and the uncontaminated, this is the meaning of mixing. Because the characteristics of the self-nature of the elements, etc., are extremely well-known, they are not written. In this "up to the consciousness of mind," because the word "up to" is said, it is compared to the consciousness of the ear, etc. Even saying "do not abide in the Buddha himself," that is, the unsurpassed perfect equality.

It is the perfect and complete Buddha himself. If one does not abide in forms, etc., which are the nature of the support, then, since all words have the fruit of reversal, forms, etc., will attain abiding by their nature. In order to refute some people's speculation, it is said, "Form, do not abide," and so on. The word "in that case" means "therefore." The tone of "na" is the same as before. The meaning of the words is this: because when one meditates without an object of focus with reason, forms, etc., do not exist, therefore it is unreasonable to meditate as a support. For this reason, it is unreasonable to acknowledge its nature and otherness as the nature of being separated from one's own nature. In order to dispel the inverted views of the beings to be tamed, in what way is the nature of the support shown? Therefore, one should not accept it as having the fruit of reversal. Therefore, in order to reach the peak, one should meditate without focusing on all forms, etc. It is also said: "Because they do not focus, they are considered to be the peak." The feeling born from the contact of the mind, the word "between" here includes eye consciousness and so on. The element of consciousness, the word "between" is mentioned here, which completely includes the water element and so on. In order to show patience, it is said, "Form is permanent and impermanent, do not abide," and so on. The words impermanent and so on have already been said. Conversely, the words permanent and so on should be said. By distinguishing between the incompatible and the compatible, the aspects of the truth of suffering are closely grasped, because it is the main thing, it is in order to remove all manifestations of attachment. The so-called form is beautiful and not beautiful, beautiful is praise, and not beautiful is not praise. These are also efforts to closely represent the aspects of the remaining truths. If one is separated from all aspects in that way, then one will only become emptiness of nature, such doubt.
