I have completely practiced the five kinds of training as before, without clinging to inherent existence. Therefore, in order to generate the light of transcendent wisdom, I have realized the third ground, the Illuminating One. As it is said: Never being satisfied with hearing, giving the Dharma without being distracted, purifying all Buddha-fields, never being weary of samsara, having shame and embarrassment, being without pride, these are the five. As it is said. Being secluded from the mental activity of the Hearers and so forth, not desiring even the Bodhi to be attained through the yoga of objects, not being arrogant even after having obtained special objects, completely burning those who are certain of tolerance towards the profound Dharma, never abandoning all the precepts taken, even for the sake of life, not even generating a thought for desire, having no manifest activity towards all dharmas, having no clinging to one's own body and so forth, not being discouraged when focusing on virtuous dharmas, and not thinking about all things, thus, the ten kinds of complete training like before, because it possesses the flame that burns all the fuel of afflictions, therefore the fourth ground, the Radiant One, is beneficial. As it is said: Dwelling in the forest, having few desires and being content, being truly pure, relying on discipline, not abandoning the precepts, denouncing all desires, abandoning Nirvana and all possessions, not being discouraged and having no views. As it is said. Associating with householders and renunciates for the sake of gain and so forth, not relying on faithful families, going to large crowds and so forth, praising oneself and disparaging others, the ten paths of unwholesome actions, being arrogant through hearing and so forth and not submitting to others, those who are virtuous and non-virtuous and so forth, the evil wisdom arising from perfecting the six paramitas and so forth, and causing all afflictions such as desire to manifest, such ten characteristic dharmas are obstacles until Bodhi, therefore they should be abandoned, and the reversed dharmas abandoned by meaning.

With ten kinds of complete purification. As before, it is extremely difficult, and for the sake of becoming a Buddha, one attains the difficult-to-cultivate fifth ground. As it is said: Attachment to friends and family, and places of noise and bustle, praising oneself and disparaging others, the ten paths of non-virtuous actions, arrogance and conceit and reversal, evil wisdom and tolerance of afflictions, if these ten are abandoned, then the fifth ground is truly attained. Thus it is said. By completely perfecting the six perfections, such as generosity, longing for hearers and solitary realizers, having a mind of fear towards the unobservable nature, having a mind of timidity when begged by beggars, being displeased with engaging in giving away all possessions, abandoning the mind of abandoning poor beggars, like this, as before, with twelve kinds of complete union, all the Buddha's teachings become manifest, therefore the sixth ground becomes manifest, and one becomes all-knowing. As it is said: Generosity and discipline, patience and diligence, meditation and wisdom are utterly perfected, for disciples and solitary ones, abandoning the mind of joy and fear, not being timid when begged, all possessions, even if given away, not being displeased, even if poor, not abandoning beggars, therefore the sixth ground is truly attained. Thus it is said. Emptiness, signlessness, and wishlessness, by truly knowing these three doors of liberation, in order, there is no clinging to self, sentient beings, and life, and by not abandoning the complete purification of the three spheres, the complete ten virtuous paths of action, abandoning clinging to a single individual, realizing loving-kindness focused on all beings tormented by suffering, there is no nihilistic view, taking near from the complete Buddha-field, by not clinging to all things, turning away from permanence, realizing that all dharmas are equal, there is no clinging to signs, because the Great Vehicle itself belongs to the One Vehicle, abandoning clinging to cause, completely knowing that name and form and so on are unborn, and being separated from clinging to the aggregates, definitely realizing the profound Dharma.
