Furthermore, starting from obtaining the Prajñāpāramitā, easily grasp and ascertain with the wisdom of hearing, abide in the wisdom of mindfulness arising from the imprints born from experiencing with extreme clarity, ascertain with the wisdom of the nature of thought, and when meditating with the nature of meditation, therefore, it is neither truly real nor truly unreal. (Because) those who have become extremely accustomed, when meditation is completely perfected, that is the fruit of clear, non-conceptual wisdom. In this way, relying on the conventional truth and the ultimate truth, possessing the accumulation of virtues such as generosity, and the generation of bodhicitta that accomplishes the complete benefit of oneself and others, etc., obtaining stages such as being in accordance with the aspect of definitive understanding, making all aspects manifest, this is called having the means of conformity, and is the necessity that is the fruit of the fruit of action. As it is also said in the Ornament for Clear Realization: "The path of all-knowingness, whatever the teacher has explained from this, is not experienced by others, because it possesses the nature of the ten practices of Dharma, the meaning of the sutras abides in mindfulness, because it is seen by those with wisdom, it is easy to understand, this is the necessity of composing the treatise." Thus it is said. From the perspective of the Tathagata revealing secrets, in order to protect the form bodies of all the Tathagatas of the Good Aeon and the Sangha of the sacred Dharma, being the master in all aspects, therefore, and because the teachings are entrusted from the Vajrapani empowerment, etc., therefore, and because there is no way to describe the differences of others, therefore, the great Vajradhara, the lord of the ten powers, residing in the grove of willows, in order to subsequently take hold of all the worlds, requests the collection of the Prajñāpāramitā Sutra Pitaka. The former teachers explained it in this way, saying that the words "like this" etc. were spoken to the assembly of Bodhisattvas such as the noble Maitreya. Others think that from the chapter on entrustment in this very text, with "How will this Prajñāpāramitā be practiced in Jambudvipa?" etc., it is because of the entrustment of the Prajñāpāramitā that it should be accurately collected.

It is thought that it was done by the venerable Ananda. Therefore, the phrase "Thus I have heard" is used to state the definite meaning. With the words that take it upon themselves to fully show the meaning of the sutras, which are determined by the wisdom that agrees with oneself and what follows, it is stated without any reversal that "things are like this." The word "I," which indicates oneself, refers to personally hearing it from the Blessed One. The word "heard," which is experienced by the ear consciousness, also indicates that others besides the Tathagata do not have the ability to understand all such dharmas, so it is impossible to understand. These three words were spoken by the Blessed One himself at the beginning of composing the sutras. Thus, after the Blessed One passed into complete nirvana, some people, who are particularly interested in various meanings, and who cannot understand the tradition of the Sugata's speech, which is distinguished in detail, and who cannot understand the meaning of the cause for attaining enlightenment, in order to dispel the doubts of the beings to be tamed, such as how to compile it, the Shravakas and others blessed by the Tathagata, asked the Blessed One how to correctly compile the holy Dharma in the future. The Blessed One considered that even if the meaning is not fully understood, there is no fault in correctly compiling the holy Dharma by personally hearing it as it is, so in the sutra of the Blessed One correctly compiling the Dharma, it is said, "Monks, the holy Dharma should be compiled with 'Thus I have heard,'" and similarly, the connection and order should be explained, and so on. Moreover, from this teaching, words such as place and time, and similarly, words such as Indra, the lord of the gods, prayed to the Blessed One in this way, are all done by those who correctly compile them with the permission of the Blessed One, so it will not lead to the fault of becoming non-Buddha's words. If so, the opportunity for the fault of putting non-Buddha's words into Buddha's words has also been kept far away.
