It is because the knowledge of appearance arises. The teacher is to show that which is directed towards others. Bodhisattva and so on are summaries. The word 'ni' is to be grasped definitively, it is said that one must truly learn this Dharma that corresponds to the part of discernment. Also, the doubt of 'how to learn in this order' is greeted with 'why?', Bodhisattva and so on are held. Prajnaparamita refers to the nature that corresponds to the part of discernment. Therefore, because it is the most excellent of all worldly dharmas, it has three aspects: the object and aspect of the excellence of Dharma. It is said thus: The action of that samadhi, prophecy and pride are exhausted, the three are mutually one essence, samadhi is non-conceptual. Thus, the corresponding part of discernment is small, medium, and large. It is taught thus. Thus, having made the distinction of Dharma, when meditating on the selflessness of all dharmas with an equanimous mind, when there is gradually no attachment to the meaning of different entities, because the appearance of wisdom is slightly clear, and one can only see for a moment, at that time it is the stage belonging to the warmth of this, that is, obtaining appearance in this Mahayana, called the samadhi of appearance. When, in order to increase that appearance of Dharma, one strives to meditate on selflessness, and the appearance of wisdom becomes moderately clear, at that time it is the peak stage, that is, the samadhi called the increase of appearance. When one abides in mind-only, because there is no attachment to external objects, when the appearance of knowing very clearly arises, it is the stage of forbearance, because one follows without the aspect of grasping, it is the samadhi that enters into one aspect of the meaning of suchness. Again, when there is no appearance of distraction that grasps at meaning, and the appearance of wisdom becomes complete, it is the most excellent stage of worldly Dharma. That is the uninterrupted samadhi. Stage

All these are said to be the grounds for acting with faith because they have particularly firm faith. The bodhisattvas who abide on this ground, even if they are ordinary beings, have completely passed beyond all the decline of children, and possess countless qualities such as samadhi, dharani, liberation, and supernormal knowledge, as stated in the Jewel Cloud Sutra. Thus, after showing the distinctions of the objects, aspects, and causes that correspond to the part of ascertainment, the first to be taught is the conceptualization that is taken from the meaning, which has four conceptualizations, which is the basis of all things, such as "Bhagavan, how should a bodhisattva mahasattva train?" etc., which is thinking about what. Because of thinking about training in the conventional of expression, it is said, "Train like that," etc. Shariputra, not understanding the intention of the Bhagavan, asked, "Then, what dharma should one train in?" To this, the Bhagavan said that because the conceptualization that relies only on the basis is associated with perversion, it is not anything in the ultimate sense, that is, "One does not train in any dharma." If one is training, how is it that one is not training? Welcoming this question with "Why is that?" he said, "Shariputra, these dharmas," and so on. Because they possess all the defiled dharmas, they are children. Because they are separated from all the pure dharmas, they are ordinary beings. They do not have faith in and much hearing of such dharmas, so they do not have hearing. Thus, because of the power of the conceptualization of ignorance, they cling to existence as it appears, so they train in the conventional, but not in the ultimate. If it is not like that, then in reality it does not exist elsewhere, and even so, because of clinging to it as real, there would be a fault, so with that thought he said, "Bhagavan, how does it exist?" Or, in order to dispel the object of perversion, it does not exist as it appears.
