This is to clearly show the distinction of courage. Or, it is for the sake of keeping the memory of it firm for those to be tamed. This "this" refers to the intermediate part belonging to the excellence of the Dharma. As for "Tathagata" and so on, by perfectly and truly teaching the Dharma in all aspects, being complete in accomplishing the benefit of others, hence Tathagata. Having abandoned the afflictive obscurations and the obscurations to knowledge along with their habitual tendencies, and possessing the completeness of accomplishing one's own benefit, hence Arhat. Having understood the path that leads to obtaining the two completenesses, hence Perfectly and Completely Awakened Buddha. The so-called "prophecy" refers to the prophecy made by the Buddhas to those who possess correctly entered samadhi, this is the nature of Dharma. Because it focuses on the forms and so on that are the special causes of prophecy. If asked, in what way should one focus on the object? Then, "that" and so on are mentioned. "Not truly seeing accordingly" means with a non-conceptual mind. "Also, one should not be arrogant" means with a conceptual mind. Because that is not truly existent. "I am abiding in equanimity" means having attained samadhi. "Entering into equanimity" and so on, refers to the conceptualizations that are the combination, the main part, and the conclusion, or that are the three times of past, present, and future. Regarding "from all" and so on. "All" refers to these two, namely all things and all aspects. As it is said, by the divisions of things such as past, it is from all. The object of the divisions of conceptual thought, such as the aggregates, is all things. By the aspects such as small and smaller, it is all aspects. All aspects with habitual tendencies are from all places. Because all conceptualizations are unreasonable, when a Bodhisattva realizes with the nature of samadhi, thoughts such as "I am abiding in equanimity" do not arise, because there is none, so they do not arise. Because it is from the perspective of the nature of Dharma that one trains in aspects. The meaning of the great object is explained, namely, "O venerable Subhuti, by what samadhi does one pass away?" and so on. Belonging to the great excellence of Dharma.

Again, regarding the question, "Can that samadhi be pointed out?" it means: Are bodhisattvas, etc., of different natures? Some texts read, "Where does samadhi reside?" To this, if the question "Can samadhi be pointed out?" itself does not hold, so it should be examined. Shariputra, "It is not so," is the answer. Because the nature of dharma, samadhi, bodhisattva, and prajnaparamita are the same in essence, they cannot be pointed out separately. Because it is focused on forms, etc., that have distinct characteristics, it cannot be pointed out, that is the meaning. Also, if there is doubt, "Can't even the samadhi being practiced be pointed out?" it is met with, "Why cling?" Then, the answer is given by way of manifestation, which is, "Son of good family, that samadhi is also," and so on. Because all dharmas are not existent, not discriminating in samadhi is the supreme method, focusing through the mode of the nature of dharma. That samadhi also cannot be known by the mind without characteristics, because there is no proximate cause. It also cannot be truly known by the mind with characteristics, because things are not existent, but dreams, etc., can exist. The word "also" is not just about manifestation. The thought that "seeing this" is because it depends on discrimination. The thought that in the absence of attachment to everything, practice, the practitioner, and the act of practice are unreasonable. Therefore, (the Buddha) said, "Shariputra, do you say you do not know, do not truly know?" Thinking that there is no fault in conventional truth, Subhuti said, "Venerable Shariputra," and so on. The doubt is met with, "Why that thought?" and then it is stated, "Because that samadhi does not exist." "In ultimate truth" is the remainder. The thought that conjunction, etc., is like an illusory person, due to the power of previous karma. Showing in a way that does not contradict the nature of dharma, the meaning of "good" is spoken, which is, "Venerable Subhuti, good," and so on. Courage is to you there.
