It should be understood that what is done and what is not separated are knowable. This is the Dharma nature of dependent origination, that is, with the thought of "this being, that arises," the answer "form is separate from the self-nature of form" is expressed through understanding. Otherwise, when asked "when is form separate from the self-nature of form?", it would be unreasonable to answer "form is separate from the self-nature of form." Furthermore, how to dispel the doubt that "form, etc., are separate from self-nature"? By showing that Prajnaparamita itself is separate from self-nature, it also shows that everything else is also separate from self-nature. To explain this meaning, it is said "Prajnaparamita is," etc., that is, the nature of Prajnaparamita is separate from the general characteristic of self-nature. The word "also" refers to the fact that the self-nature of Prajnaparamita is also separate from the characteristic of difference, which is expressed by the word "also." Then, is the result of what is taught inverted, so there are characteristics and what is characterized? The answer is, it is said "characteristics also," etc., characteristics are general characteristics, while the basis of characteristics, what is characterized, is the characteristic of difference. If this is the case, then do the self-natures of these two exist? The answer is, "self-nature is also separate from the nature of self-nature," meaning: what is characterized and the characteristics are completely severed, separated from verbal expression, that what is characterized and the characteristics themselves, abiding, are nominally established, and should be understood in this way. Thus, it is said that with emptiness, what is characterized and the characteristics are the same, therefore, it is possible to apprehend form, etc., which are differentiated by the absence of self-nature. In what way should it be apprehended? To answer this question, the question is first raised, and then the meaning of the way is explained, that is, "Subhuti, what," etc. The "this" here refers to the fact that, for this object of focus, learning in a conventional way, will this necessarily lead to certainty about all-knowing wisdom? It means that through this cause, one can obtain the roots of virtue belonging to small patience. It has been considered in this way. It is said that it is not contrary to Dharma nature.

As a meaning of commitment, the Blessed One Shariputra and others spoke thus. The ultimate truth of becoming inevitably arising, and from the perspective of conventional truth, the nature of form and other phenomena being without inherent existence is the aspect, the meaning of cultivating this. Furthermore, how is it that when practicing the roots of virtue of small forbearance, the doubt of becoming all-knowing is met with "why?" The meaning of the intermediate object of focus is explained: Blessed One Shariputra, all phenomena are without arising, etc. From higher to higher, the difference in focus, etc., becomes the difference in realization, implying that it will inevitably become certainty. The word "ni" is for certainty, meaning that all phenomena are unborn. Why? Because all phenomena are impermanent for a moment, the law of birth is blocked, so there is no arising, which is not a limb of nirvana. All phenomena, because of their nature of being unborn, are the meaning of objects of focus such as form, which are without the difference of birth and cessation. In what way should one focus? It is said, "If you practice in this way," etc. If you practice and cultivate in this way according to the reason just stated, all the meaning of practice is for the sake of realization. The meaning of "near" is that because one quickly attains realization, one will abide near. "For the sake of maturing sentient beings," etc., is for the sake of definitely combining with virtuous Dharma, for the sake of maturing sentient beings. Body, etc., because of knowing the self-nature of all phenomena, all aspects of body, etc., are pure, which becomes the cause of purity. From the aspect of purity, learning from the perspective of cause, the three actions of the body are completely purified, so the body will be completely purified. The complete purification of mind is the complete purification of the three actions of mind. The complete purification of signs is that the thirty-two signs of a great person abide, then abide.
