Some treatises say this is foolish, and some say that the meaning there is also this. It is called "digma" because of being slow in speaking and speaking heavily about wisdom. Not concealing the ears means hearing with a loud voice. Defective limbs means that hands and feet, etc., are smaller than normal size. Incomplete limbs means that limbs are extra or incomplete. Unattractive color means that the color of the limbs is unattractive. Similarly, why is it like this? After raising this question, "Bodhisattva" etc. are mentioned. Because of the complete purity of self-nature, it is inappropriate for powers etc. to be completely pure, the Blessed One said "all dharmas" etc. at what time. Understanding in conventional truth, it is said "Subhuti, it is so" etc. Like before, why is it like this? After raising this question, it is said "Subhuti, all dharmas" etc. It is said that although all dharmas are pure in their self-nature, in order to generate such wisdom in sentient beings who cannot fully understand the dharma of self-nature purity, by not being afraid to practice illusory dharmas, then one can obtain complete purity of powers etc. in conventional truth. Tenth, the meaning of the increase of the characteristics of becoming a Buddha lineage is, Subhuti, for example, in which direction of the great earth etc., it is said that having alkalinity means having a lot of salt. Gravelly land means the direction is rough. Bodhisattvas are few, which shows that among the Buddha lineages, those who are suitable to obtain the increase of manifest realization of the peak are few. Eleventh, the meaning of the increase of the nature of the cause of obtaining the fruit of Buddhahood itself, the three explanations are shown by the difference of the examples of small, medium, and large, that is, Subhuti, again, for example, sentient beings etc., it is said that the path of Prajnaparamita is the summary of the eleventh increase of the cause of obtaining Tathagata.

The meaning of the increase in the aspect of the nature of not generating minds of opposing factors that have reached the other shore is, Subhuti, it is said, such as what is called a Bodhisattva, and so on. Among them, "tava" means not generating virtuous conceptual thoughts, which are the afflictions such as desire, and so on. Thirteenth, the meaning of the increase in the aspect of the nature of not generating minds that realize having form, etc., is, Subhuti, thus it is said, such as what is called a Bodhisattva, and so on. Among them, due to the manifestation of attachment to things that are imputed, dependent, and perfectly established, they become, in sequence, truly grasped, completely grasped, and supremely grasped, as it is said. Because of being separated from perversion, it is said that one will follow because of realization. Fourteenth, the meaning of the increase in the aspect of knowing the characteristics that encompass all perfections is, Subhuti, it is like being in the view of the aggregates, and so on, as it is said. The sixty-two views should be examined in the Brahma Net Sutra, etc., but I have not written them here for fear of the length of the text. What clarifies the increase in the aspect as described is, Subhuti, it is like being in the life force of a person, and so on, as it is said. Fifteenth, the meaning of the increase in the aspect of the nature of obtaining all perfections is, Subhuti, therefore it is said, such as what is called a Bodhisattva Mahasattva, and so on. Similarly, because of asking, "Why is that?" and then answering that it is because of the excellence of merit. What is asked in order to extensively show the meaning itself is, Subhuti, what do you think, and so on, as it is said. As before, because of asking, "Why is that?" and then answering, Subhuti, Bodhisattva, and so on, as it is said. Among them, because the four paths such as the path of seeing are realized, the four words such as wanting to become unsurpassed are spoken. Because it is able to obtain the Dharma, the enjoyment of complete, and the three bodies of emanation, it is said to be in the form of a Buddha, and so on.

English

Three terms are mentioned. If all perfections are attained, will one also become a Śrāvaka? Because there is such doubt, one asks the Blessed One, "Is it a Śrāvaka?" etc. Because one studies for the sake of others, one is not a Śrāvaka, thus it is said, "Subhūti, the perfections of a Śrāvaka also," etc. The sixteenth, the meaning of one's own increase in order to approach perfect complete enlightenment, is that the Blessed One said, "Subhūti, a Bodhisattva Mahāsattva now," etc. Regarding this, clinging is also a bond, it is said, "If a Bodhisattva thinks like this," etc. What is called non-practice is understood to mean that focusing on things is inverted. Non-clinging itself is reality, it is said, "That is," etc. What has been said in this way is considered to be increase. Thus it is said: Jambudvīpa and other realms of beings, the merit of offering to the Buddhas, etc., using various ways as examples, the sixteen increases are the very nature. Thus it is said. The chapter called "Learning" in the light of the Prajñāpāramitā commentary, the Abhisamayālaṅkāra, is the twenty-fifth. Thus, by increasing, the peak Abhisamaya that increases, having become the very nature, in order to clearly show the characteristics of reaching the ultimate, what is praised is, "The conduct of a Bodhisattva Mahāsattva," etc., is also said. By the phrase "Those are to be desired," it shows how difficult it is to attain the peak Abhisamaya. By the excellent faith being correctly produced, by condemning desires, this is clearly shown, it is said, "Those beings of the Bodhisattva vehicle," etc. What is called "being carried away" means "being driven away." Because there is no fault of all inequalities, the equality of reaching the other shore is Nirvāṇa, which is the meaning of Buddhahood itself. Some think that the perfections of the benefit of oneself, others, and both are complete.
