This is because one does not cling to the belief that they are distinct. It is not even that they appear as many in the same time and place, but because there is no thought that these are different functions, therefore, direct perception does not cling. Therefore, since one does not cling to the apprehended and the apprehender, etc., and the objects to be apprehended as being mutually distinct, it is said that the nature of multiplicity, non-duality, and oneness appears in direct perception, and this is also answered by this. Because oneness and multiplicity are contradictory. If it is said that since establishment and bliss are one, multiplicity is also one. That is unreasonable, because in a mutually contradictory way, this contradicts oneness. It is also not the case that this and the establishment and bliss are known to be one by direct perception. If the establishment and bliss that appear simultaneously are not different, then something other than one's own nature will also appear. How could it not appear as distinct? If, again, one thinks that even if it appears as distinct, one does not cling to it and posits it as non-dual, then why not in this way not cling to the absence of difference, thinking that this is not different from this? If one clings to only the object that is liberated from distinctness and non-distinctness, then how could blue, etc., appear as multiplicity? If one wants it to appear as multiplicity, that is what the world calls appearing as distinct, so how can one deny distinctness? If these clear aspects here are only the true nature, then at that time, all of this is contradictory. However, consciousness is only like a pure crystal, uniquely not transformed into the differences of blue, etc. Moreover, for such aspects, also due to the power of the complete maturation of the beginningless reversed habitual tendencies, just as elephants and horses, etc., appear on clay, etc., to a person whose eyes are deceived by mantras, etc., the various aspects appear. Therefore, admitting that in the ultimate sense, consciousness is the only nature, this is not contradictory, because it is false. In this way, your accusation is to establish that the aspects are not true.

If it is said, that is also what we acknowledge. If it is thought that it is not so, that is not right. Like this, whatever is experienced as the nature of appearances such as blue, which even children can understand very clearly, that is false. Whatever has not experienced the non-dual wisdom that is different from the clearly appearing appearances, that is true. Besides these, what better statement is there? What is unreasonable about very clear appearances? If it is said that it is because it is not reality, then, for anything, whatever nature does not exist, that is not cognition of it. For example, the nature of suffering is not happiness, etc. Appearances such as blue are also not truly present for consciousness, because the established difference is contradictory. Appearances are determined to be false, therefore it is not unestablished, and because it exists on the similar side, it is not contradictory. If, in general, it is inferred that there is no cognition in the ultimate sense, then, since there is no valid cognition that harms the establishing property that contradicts the property to be established, how can there not be doubt about reversing the reason from the dissimilar side? This should also not be said, because here, only the general needs to be established, and there is no uncertainty in this. Like this, there are two kinds of cognition, namely primary and secondary. Among them, the primary is the non-material nature, which is also the unique, uncommon nature of consciousness, how can it be a non-existent appearance? Like this, whatever is not the nature of consciousness, there is no primary cognition, for example, a lotus in the sky. The acknowledged non-existent appearances such as blue are also not the nature of consciousness, because the pervasive is contradictory. The secondary is also impossible, like this, if it is said that the consciousness that arises as its own appearance is the secondary cognition, then, like a horse's horn that is completely without ability, it is unreasonable for non-existent things, because the characteristic of non-existence is the characteristic of complete lack of ability.
