All sentient beings, etc., because they are of the nature of non-existence, the absence of arising is non-arising. The meaning of all paths being unattainable means that because all paths themselves are unattainable, the absence of a path is pathlessness. The absence of abiding in the paths of practice, seeing, and meditation, the distinction, and the path of no-more-learning, is said to be the characteristic of unobstructedness, which is said to be the characteristic of making distinctions, etc., five words are spoken. Explaining the nature of no sentient beings is: "Bhagavan, the Shravakas of the Bhagavan," etc., is a request, "This Shravaka who is related to the Tathagata is in accordance with, born later, and like the Tathagata, is born in accordance." The doubt is, "Even if he is a Shravaka, how can he be born in accordance like the Tathagata?" Welcoming with "Why is that?", "Bhagavan, it is like this," etc., is a request, "Because all dharmas, even if they are ultimately not the object of realization, still truly teach emptiness, therefore, like the Tathagata, he is born in accordance," this is the concluding statement. Showing that it is impossible to be born in accordance with the nature of things is: "Sons of the gods, whoever says this," etc., is spoken, "Because of non-arising" means that in reality, because of non-arising, it is non-arising. The Shravaka of the Tathagata, the Venerable Subhuti, has gone in accordance with that, and has gone in accordance with being the nature of that. Suchness means that the teacher Vasubandhu said, "The nature of the Tathagata is only suchness." How is it? "How is the Tathagata?" etc., is spoken. In that case, the Venerable Subhuti is, because he has gone in accordance with the suchness of the Tathagata who was just spoken of, therefore, because of non-arising, he is born in accordance, and should be combined with the previous one. Similarly, the following should also be understood. By the power of meditation, one can attain the Tathagata himself, but

If it is not by the dharma of own nature, how is it born after? (Buddha) said, "The venerable Subhuti is," and so on. Among them, "from the very beginning" means "only from the beginning." Welcoming the thought that "this is not reasonable," (Buddha) said, "The Tathata of the Tathagata," and so on. The so-called "that is the Tathata of all dharmas" means that the general dharma nature of form, etc., which appears as substance, is unborn. In this way, the Tathagata and the Tathata of all dharmas, by their mutually inseparable nature, show that the Tathata of the Tathagata is the object of all. Therefore, that is also Subhuti's, (Buddha) said, "What is the Tathata of the Tathagata," and so on. Therefore, the so-called "born after the Tathagata" is born after in the manner of having suchness. If so, suchness would become a real thing, (Buddha) said, "Suchness is also," and so on. The so-called "not suchness" is because it is unreasonable to negate the objectless, so it means that suchness is also similar to illusion in conventional truth. The so-called "born after the Tathagata" is because the word "after" is a instrumental case word, and saying "of the Tathagata" is intended to express association with it. If that is indeed the self-nature of dharma nature, how is it born after? (Buddha) said, "Of the Tathagata," and so on. The so-called "abiding" means abiding in conventional truth by the constant dharma nature. If that is the case, then the venerable Subhuti would have change, etc., (Buddha) said, "How is the Tathata of the Tathagata," and so on. To this, there is no change of exceeding or incompleteness, nor is there any alteration. Because it is free from the discrimination of self and other, there is no discrimination, nor is there any discrimination. Subhuti's suchness is similar to the Tathagata's suchness.

If so, from what does the nature of immutability and so on come? It is like what is said, suchness of the Tathagata and so on. In order to welcome the doubt that "these themselves are important," it is said what is the suchness of the Tathagata and so on. This (suchness) is one, which means there is no difference, because the actions and the agent that can make a difference, and the things to be done are not clearly observed, so it is non-dual and cannot be made into two, therefore it is not two, and it is declared with the difference of meaning that this is the suchness of non-duality. In any case, because it is far from the basis itself, it is not suchness anywhere. Because there is no cause, it does not come from anything. Because there is no connection, it is not of anything. Having connections and so on will become the thing itself, so it will not become suchness, so it is said why and so on. In this way, the venerable Subhuti is, because the suchness of the Tathagata and all dharmas are the same in essence, so it is because it is included in the suchness of the Tathagata, the suchness of Subhuti is the nature of immutability and so on, therefore it is born in accordance with the unmade suchness, this is the concluding remark. Because all dharmas are born in accordance with such a manner, what special excellence does Subhuti have? Although that is true, in any case, only the point that has become the basis of the dispute should be shown, otherwise, if it is said that the listener has not appeared, how would it not become crazy? Clarifying this point is saying what is the unmade suchness and so on, that will never become not suchness, this is the concluding remark, meaning that in any case it is only suchness. The brief summary is saying how the suchness of the Tathagata is at all times and so on, all times means all times. Manifestation means completely separated, that is, produced. These two words just said are completely separated.
