Just as holding and inexhaustibly producing, in order to hold the Dharma that has been heard and not heard, and to proclaim the teachings without end. These five are contained within the Bodhisattva grounds by the path of distinction. The twentieth, possessing the joy of Dharma feast, is like a harp, in order to proclaim sweetly to those trainees who desire liberation. This is connected to the Bodhisattva grounds and is contained within the path of application for entering the Buddha grounds. The twenty-first, possessing the path of the single vehicle, is like the continuous flow of a river, because of realizing the equality of knower and known, the continuity of great compassion and skillful means and wisdom is uninterrupted, solely for the purpose of accomplishing the benefit of others. This is the stage of attaining the actual ground, contained within the Buddha grounds. The twenty-second, possessing the Dharmakaya, is like a great cloud, because the activities of all sentient beings depend on it, by manifesting in all places such as residing in the Tushita heaven with the Emanation Body. This is also the Buddha ground contained within the Tathagata, having requested from the Lord of Non-Discrimination, the Emanation Body and so forth that are completely observed by those to be subdued are the objects of focus, after obtaining the pure worldly wisdom. Thus, it is contained from the ground of the first practitioner to the Buddha ground. Therefore, in the order of realizing the meaning, these very orders and well-differentiated distinctions as stated are neither more nor less. Nor is it to show another order, thus it is proclaimed. Thus, the distinctions of generating the mind in sequence are divided into twenty-two, from the perspective of contemplation, it is imperative to connect the three aspects of Bodhisattva Mahasattva Prajnaparamita and so forth, as before. It is said: Earth, gold, moon, fire, treasure and jewel source sea, vajra, mountain, medicine, spiritual friend, wish-fulfilling jewel, sun, song, king, treasury and great path, riding, adorned water and, harp, river, clouds, these are the twenty-two aspects.

It is so. It must be understood that this is a distinction based on the nature of cause and effect, differentiating between ordinary Bodhisattvas and the stage of the Tathāgata. As it is said in the Ornament of the Sutras: "The arising of the mind in the grounds, pure aspiration and higher intention, and the ripening are considered different, as is the abandonment of obscurations. Its root is considered compassion, constantly thinking of benefiting sentient beings." Therefore, it is said that the mind of enlightenment, which is the nature of focusing on cause and effect, should be generated. If a distinction is made, it should be done in the same way. Otherwise, merely distinguishing the cause would not constitute having made all distinctions, and therefore it would not be a complete distinction. This is the view of some. Others say that the eight minds, such as those resembling a great king, are included in the Bodhisattva grounds by a special path. The scripture that shows all the distinctions of generating the mind of enlightenment is taught in the Twenty-five Thousand Verse Perfection of Wisdom Sutra, but here it is not written due to the fear of extensive texts. By doing so, here only the main points are mentioned, and it is not explained in detail because it is undertaken to teach for the sake of sentient beings who like concise meanings. The distinctions of the meaning as explained must be understood with certainty, because this precious sutra is engaged in collecting the meaning of the Twenty-five Thousand Verse Perfection of Wisdom Sutra, as previously stated. As the teacher Dignāga said: "As all the things said, this Eight Thousand Verse Sutra is complete in meaning, here the scripture is intended to be concise, but the meaning is as it was said." All aspects are to be realized by the wisdom of the Tathāgata, just as the profound Perfection of Wisdom, the self is powerless. Because of not abandoning the obscuration of knowledge, it is doubted that even the noble Subhūti is powerless, and only through the encouragement of the noble Śāriputra does he realize it, realizing it without knowing the power of his blessings.
