Through the gate of omniscience from the distinctions of differentiation, the knowledge of the arising of the Tathagata is shown, as stated in "Subhuti, the Tathagata," and so on. The doubt that this is unreasonable is met with "Why cling to that?" and it is said, "This is the Tathagata," and so on. Because it generates in that, it is the mother. Because it nourishes completely, it is the generating. Because it generates completely, it shows omniscience. "Showing in all the world" means to make it understood through emptiness and so on. Here, some of our own schools say that when a single wisdom pervades the entire circle of knowables, simultaneously in a conventional way, then things are limited to just this, and by completely determining this, it is harmed by the commitment to infinity. Like this, if there are no things other than those that enter into a single wisdom, and one completely determines it in this way, how can it not become finite? This is meaningless. If one temporarily relies on the absence of discriminating consciousness to refute, then everything is unrelated. Like this, however many kinds of things are experienced, all of them are pervaded because they are determined by the mind of the omniscient simply by existing, and not because they pervade by occupying a place in relation to other things. If someone thinks that because of being completely determined by one wisdom, one's own nature of infinity will be lost, and that one wisdom completely determines, just that much will not abandon the self-nature of things. When variegated colors and so on are spread out, the sentient beings who are to be contained by one wisdom simultaneously with many things such as blue and yellow do not abandon their multiplicity, nor do they follow each other, but however they exist, they are completely determined by knowing them as they are, and not by other natures. Similarly, sentient beings and the world of containers are also held by the mind of the omniscient just as they are experienced. In all directions and corners, the world of sentient beings and so on

Moreover, as the basis of existence, it is also boundless. Therefore, it is impossible to conceive of it as having boundaries. If it were conceived as having boundaries, it would be absurd. If someone were to think, 'If everything is acknowledged, how could it not be finite?' that is not the case. What connection is there between holding everything and necessarily holding it as finite? Just like that, no matter how many things exist, the omniscient wisdom does not experience the existence of ignorance. However, the things that are known by the omniscient wisdom, whenever they arise and perish, are not abandoned. This is the meaning of holding everything. This is because their wisdom is pervaded by one wisdom. Otherwise, one should not even acknowledge expressing all of them in words, because that would be finite. Therefore, this is completely impossible. If someone says, 'Since there is nothing other than the things that enter into one consciousness, how could it not be finite?' that is also incorrect. In the school that proclaims the absence of distinct consciousness, the nature of things does not enter into consciousness. However, merely being is consciousness. Things are not acknowledged as being boundless by the nature of being completely cut off by consciousness. If consciousness itself makes them finite, that would be absurd. However, because the arrangement of objects is boundless, the external world is boundless, and the world of sentient beings is also boundless in number. What would become ungraspable? If the suppression of objects, etc., becomes boundless, then there is no contradiction in being the grasped itself. If it is not held as finite, how could it become omniscient? Precisely because of that, because it is not held as finite, it becomes omniscient. Otherwise, if one were to hold the boundless things as finite, that would be mistaken. Just like that, whatever exists is held as existing, and whatever does not exist is held as not existing, that is omniscience.
