Pa'o. Furthermore, in order to show the greatness of dedication, thereafter the Bhagavan spoke of the son of the gods of the Pure Abodes, and so on. Although the merit arising from generosity, the manifest accumulation, is indeed a great combination, etc., how can the doubt that the combination, etc., arises at a young age, and how can it be endured until the cause of the object of dedication's merit? To welcome that doubt, he welcomed it with "Why is that?" Thus, he spoke of the Bodhisattva, and so on. He thought that having an object is contrary to valid cognition, and therefore it is inverted. Although rejoicing is preliminary, by cultivating all the roots of virtue accomplished by the practice of not fixating on all phenomena like an illusory person with faith and attention, one should dedicate it to the unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment for the benefit of all sentient beings. Therefore, the Bodhisattva guides all sentient beings to the path of liberation with the three vehicles. Because he is attached to the single dedication attention that has the function of showing the near path, in order to counteract that attachment, in the manner of explaining, for the benefit of beings of inferior intelligence, twelve kinds of divisions were made. In order to avert the contempt of those with sharp intelligence, a very extensive distinction was made. As it is said: "Dedication has a special quality, Its action is the most excellent, It is a kind of non-object, The characteristic of non-inversion, Solitude and Buddha's accumulation of merit, The object of the practice of remembering one's own nature, Possessing skillful means and without characteristics, And rejoicing in the Buddha, Not belonging to the three realms, Small, medium, and large, The other three dedications, Are the nature of greatly increasing merit." Thus it was spoken. By the attention of rejoicing, one obtains the equality of one's own and others' meritorious deeds, therefore after that, in order to cultivate the attention of rejoicing, he spoke of those to the Bhagavan, etc. How much? It means how many kinds? Not grasping, not arrogant.

To do. It is called "without object," that is to say, it is used in situations such as conjunction. It is called "non-discrimination, completely non-discrimination, truly not following," and should be combined with "having past and future" in order. It is called "pervasively calculated by discrimination" because it originates from non-real pervasive calculation. The nature of self and common characteristics that arise in this way has been separated, so it is said in order that it is called "unborn, definitely unborn." Because there is no arrival from the past, etc., it is "without arrival." Because the future will not go, it is "without going." It is called "Dharmata," which is the nature of illusion. It is called "just this," which means just by the aspects just mentioned. It is called "liberation as it is," which means how to be free from afflictions and cognitive obscurations, and the characteristics of non-birth. In fact, because it does not have all the laws of affliction, it is not bound by them. Because it is far from the pure Dharma, it is not liberated. Because it has the appearance of showing and seeing, without obstacles, with its own nature of knowledge, karma and fruit, the nature is the same as how the part of difference appears, wishing to benefit sentient beings, the viewer with the nature of great compassion, the Bhagavan, therefore specially declared, therefore even if it transcends the senses, it also truly abides in truly seeing everything. Not abiding in samsara and nirvana, so it is without defilement. At the time of rejoicing, saying "dedication" is a side mention of recollection. It is called "not obtaining great samsara with illusory nature," and should be combined with "because it is indestructible, it is indestructible." It is called "good conduct with the body" because there are no three kinds of physical actions such as killing. It is called "good conduct with speech" because it is far from the four kinds of verbal actions such as lying. It is called "good conduct with mind" because it is far from the three kinds of mental actions such as greed. As before, if you ask why?
