Yes. In order to clarify the meaning of what was said above by way of reversal, "if" and so on were mentioned. Is it not the case that entering without realization does not occur? If someone doubts, "How can knowledge itself be completely dedicated?" it is greeted with "Why?" and it is said, "Like this, because there is attachment to the dedication." Indeed, the nature of things is contrary to valid cognition, so saying "because of that" is unfinished. In order to explain the meaning of contemplating the dedication of solitude, it is said, "If, again, he thinks, 'Accumulating merit is also,'" and so on. "Accumulating merit" means that merit is the root of virtue without attachment, and so on. Its accumulation is the mind that arouses it completely. Because it is similar to illusion, the cause of completely pacifying all harm is peace. If it is said that attachment to the nature of peace and so on is also inverted, then it is said, "If all phenomena are," and so on. If one does not truly know the nature of "if it is peace" and so on, then because one has entered into suchness, it is its prajnaparamita, and it should be connected in this way. In order to explain the contemplation of the dedication of recollecting the nature of the Buddha's root of virtue, it is said, "Whatever Buddha, Bhagavan, is completely liberated from suffering," and so on. "How is the dedication?" is like an illusion. "It" refers to the mind that dedicates, and if it is not examined conventionally, then because the root of virtue itself has arisen depending on the previous cause, it is of the same kind. In terms of its own and general characteristics, in order, for things to be done, by way of being able and unable, it is characterized by that and belongs to that category. Because it is the nature of the dharmadhatu, it is its nature. If it is known in this way, then "characteristic" is unfinished. Because actions are preceded by intelligence, how is it dedicated?

Welcoming with "If that's what you think, then why?", i.e., "The Buddhas, the Bhagavat, in the manner of signs," and so on. If there is nothing to negate, then negation is unreasonable, therefore, it is considered that clinging to emptiness, etc., as the ultimate is a perverted view. The other ways that are spoken of are "Whatever has passed" and so on. "Not attained" means not comprehended in this very moment. "Not perceived as abiding" means that because it is separate from its own nature, it is unreasonable to abide. "Also not a sign" means that it is not a sign of a co-acting cause, nor is it an object of a proximate cause. If one clings to signs in this way, it is because one apprehends in the manner that has been spoken of. "Not thinking" means that because one clings to negation in that way, one does not fully know the ultimate reality of things. Therefore, because it is a perversion, it is a completely imputed. If it becomes completely imputed because of not making signs, then would trees, etc., also be completely imputed? Welcoming this doubt, it is said, "Because it is separated from mindfulness." Because there is no mindfulness, trees and other things do not make signs of emptiness, etc., even so, because they do not fully know the ultimate reality of things, they are not thinking. Similarly, because they are separated from mindfulness or do not comprehend, they do not think of anything like Devadatta, even so, they are not thinking as before. Therefore, in that way, because it is a perversion, it is not a completely imputed, this is the meaning of the words. If making signs and not making signs are not completely imputed, then what should be done at that time? Therefore, it is said, "Because of that sign," and so on. Just like closing the eyes or being blind, etc., because the conditions are not complete, merely not thinking does not abandon the perverted habits of things, etc. Just like rising from the state of non-perception, etc., for the yogi, there will again arise a collection of afflictions such as desire, which has its root in clinging to things.

Ro! Without abandoning perversion, one cannot abandon the mind that arises from experiencing the extremely clear forms, etc., which were previously closely observed. It is like not being able to completely abandon heat without completely abandoning fire. Thus, these mistaken perceptions of forms, etc., are not to be removed from the mind like thorns, etc., are pulled out, but rather because they are separated from the seeds of perversion, such as the inherent existence of things, etc. Therefore, before it is transformed, it cannot be abandoned, and who can prevent the intense attachment to false forms, etc., like the fault of a man's cataracts? If the seed of perversion is examined with the eye of the yogi's wisdom, it will not arise because all phenomena are seen with the light of correct knowledge. Once that happens, like a tree whose roots have been pulled out, because there is no seed, bad thoughts will not arise in the mind, and thus the true nature will not arise later.
