It is said, for example, "How many sentient beings are there in Jambudvipa," and so on. Through four explanations, namely, placing all sentient beings of the four great continents, the thousandfold, the double thousand, and the three thousand world systems in meditative absorption, immeasurables, formless attainments, and supernormal cognitions, the second, third, fourth, and fifth mere venerations are shown in order. For all four of these explanations, after the word "placement," starting from the previous explanation "Kaushika, what do you think," it is said that "it will be placed in completely distinguishing the ultimate of reality," and thus purify their minds and make them without doubt. The sixth mere veneration is that it is said again, "Kaushika, of the three thousand great thousand world systems," and so on. The seventh mere veneration is that it is said again, "Kaushika, furthermore," and so on. The eighth mere veneration is that it is said again, "Kaushika, furthermore," and so on. The so-called being skilled in meaning is because of being skilled in understanding meaning. As it is said, "Whatever is dependent arising, you regard that as emptiness. Apart from the realm of Dharma, these dharmas do not exist." Therefore, comprehending the words and their meaning itself is the Perfection of Wisdom. Due to the doubt of "Why should it be shown?" the question is asked, "Bhagavan, should this Perfection of Wisdom also be shown?" The answer is, "It should be shown to those who do not manifestly understand the nature of things as emptiness," that is, "Kaushika, son of good family," and so on. If one understands things, how could one not understand their nature as emptiness? To dispel this doubt, it is greeted with "Why is that?" and it is said, "Kaushika, in the future time," and so on. That is to say, because in the future time, due to similar meanings, an image of the Perfection of Wisdom will appear, therefore, having heard it, due to being accustomed to false teachings, the things that are being understood are like illusions.

Because the nature of reality is obscured and not understood, Bodhisattvas, in seeking the unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment, if they do not understand the correct Prajnaparamita, they will fall away from the meaning of what they desire to manifest, and if it becomes futile, that is not acceptable, therefore it should be taught. This is what is being said. By abandoning what cause and nature will it be abandoned, what kind of cause and nature does it have? This refers to the Blessed One and so on. The image of Prajnaparamita, as stated by the teacher Dignāga: Because it does not accord with the meaning of the occasion, any speculation on other meanings, speaking of the perfection of wisdom, that is called an image. So it is said. Some monks, this refers to those who only speak of consciousness-only among the Mahayana practitioners. 'Because the body is not accustomed' means that because it is not accustomed to being devoid of the nature of one and many, it is not accustomed to being without self-nature, therefore the six aggregates of consciousness together with their objects are the very nature of not having cultivated the body. In order to show that very thing, it is said that one has not cultivated morality and so on. These three words explain in order the absence of the three trainings of higher morality, higher mind, and higher wisdom. In order to ascertain their meaning, it is said, 'perverted wisdom' and so on. Because it possesses ignorance, it is perverted wisdom. Because it possesses doubtful wisdom, it has the nature of being dull like a sheep. With wrong knowledge, wisdom is completely equalized. The destruction of form is the impermanence of form, which means that the destruction of the imputed form is the impermanence of form. The characteristic of the form that is discriminated, the destruction that does not remain even for a moment, is the impermanence of form. The destruction of the form of the nature of reality, which is the separation from the imputed form, is the impermanence of form, thus it is shown to be Prajnaparamita. These three meanings should be viewed in a repetitive manner. Destroying wrong knowledge is itself.
