These are the unmixed ones. I shall meditate on the unmixed Dharmas of the Buddha. For this purpose, meditate on the unmixed Dharmas of the Buddha, without distinguishing these three. By the unmixed Dharmas of the Buddha, I myself am liberated from samsara, and others are also liberated. This is a limb of the path, a virtuous Dharma. Those virtuous Dharmas are the path to the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment of a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva. That path leads past, future, and present Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas to guide immeasurable beings and cross the ocean of samsara. They have crossed, are crossing, and will cross. That path is completely perfected, enabling Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas to attain omniscience. Having attained omniscience, they turn the wheel of Dharma. Having turned the wheel of Dharma, they benefit beings. Then, the venerable Subhuti said to the Bhagavan: "Bhagavan, if all those Dharmas are the Dharmas of a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, then what are the Dharmas of the Buddha?" The Bhagavan said: "Subhuti, your saying, 'If all those Dharmas are the Dharmas of a Bodhisattva, then what are the Dharmas of the Buddha?' Subhuti, the Dharmas of the Buddha are simply the complete and perfect enlightenment in all aspects through those very Dharmas. Having attained omniscience, all connections of habitual tendencies are completely abandoned. Therefore, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva is one who manifests perfect and complete enlightenment. The Tathagata, Arhat, Samyak-sambuddha is called a Tathagata because of manifesting perfect and complete Buddhahood with wisdom endowed with a single instant of all Dharmas. There is that difference between a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva and a Tathagata, Arhat, Samyak-sambuddha. Subhuti, for example, one who has entered the stream is different from one who abides in the fruit, but it should not be said that both of them are not noble persons. Subhuti, similarly,

I am a Bodhisattva Mahasattva who has entered the path of no obstruction. The Tathagata, Arhat, Samyak-sambuddha has attained unobstructed wisdom regarding all dharmas. Subhuti, the difference between a Bodhisattva Maha-sattva and a Tathagata, Arhat, Samyak-sambuddha is the activity of establishing the limbs of enlightenment. Subhuti asked: World Honored One, if all dharmas are empty of their own nature, then among those dharmas that are empty of their own nature, beings are hell beings. This is the place of birth of animals. This is the world of Yama. This is a god. This is a human. This is a lineage. This is the eighth. This is a stream-enterer. This is a once-returner. This is a non-returner. This is an Arhat. This is a Pratyekabuddha. This is a Bodhisattva. This is a Tathagata, Arhat, Samyak-sambuddha, how do their differences and distinctions arise? World Honored One, since those individuals are not found, then karma is also not found. Since karma is not found, then the ripening of karma is also not found. The World Honored One said: Subhuti, it is so, it is so. As you have said, all dharmas are empty of their own nature, and karma and the ripening of karma are not found. Subhuti, those who do not truly understand that all dharmas are empty of their own nature, they accumulate evil deeds, or good deeds, or unwavering deeds. They fall into the three lower realms due to the evil deeds they have accumulated. They are born in the heavens and among humans due to the good deeds they have accumulated. They are born in the form realm or the formless realm due to the unwavering deeds. The Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the perfection of generosity, the perfection of discipline, the perfection of patience, the perfection of diligence, the perfection of meditation, and the perfection of wisdom.

Practice in the perfection of wisdom. Practice in the emptiness of the inner. Practice in the interval of the emptiness of the nature of non-things. Practice in the mindfulness and so on. Practice in the right abandonment and so on. Practice in the miraculous feet, the faculties, the powers, the limbs of enlightenment, and the eightfold noble path. Practice in the noble truths, the meditations, the immeasurables, the formless absorptions, the liberations, the gradual abiding absorptions, the doors of liberation emptiness, the signlessness, the wishlessness, the clairvoyance, the samadhi, and the doors of dharani. Practice in the ten powers of the Tathagata, the four fearlessnesses, the four individual correct knowledges, the great compassion, and the eighteen unmixed qualities of the Buddha. Having cultivated the path to enlightenment with unwavering conduct, one enters into the diamond-like samadhi, which is endowed with the retinue of the limbs of enlightenment, and manifestly and completely awakens to unsurpassed and perfectly complete enlightenment. Having manifestly and completely awakened and become a Buddha, one benefits sentient beings. Having benefited them, one should by no means waste it later, and thus benefit them without falling into the cycle of the five degenerations. Asked: Blessed One, what is this? Blessed One, after manifestly and completely awakening to unsurpassed and perfectly complete enlightenment and becoming a Buddha, did you see the cycle of the five degenerations? The Blessed One replied: Subhuti, no. Asked: Blessed One, what is this? Does the Tathagata observe black dharma, or white dharma, or black, or white, or neither black nor white? The Blessed One replied: No. Asked: Blessed One, if you do not observe in this way, then how are sentient beings established in hell, or in the realm of animals, or in the world of Yama? How are gods and humans established? How are stream-enterers, once-returners, non-returners, Arhats, and solitary Buddhas established? How are Bodhisattvas and Tathagatas, Arhats, and perfectly complete Buddhas established? The Blessed One replied:
