Eighth, the chapter on the fruit of practice concerning the enjoyment of the Dharmakaya. Eighth, the chapter on the fruit of practice concerning the enjoyment of the Dharmakaya. Furthermore, Subhuti, the undefiled dharmas are like dreams, devoid of substance, having the nature of non-substance, empty of inherent existence, becoming completely pure in all aspects. What is the nature of all these? The single characteristic is this: non-characteristic. That is the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Awakened Buddha, it should be understood. Subhuti, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva should thus train in the Prajnaparamita. Subhuti asked: World Honored One, what are all those undefiled dharmas? The World Honored One replied: The thirty-seven factors of enlightenment, the four immeasurables, the eight liberations, the nine successive abidings in meditative absorption, the ten kasinas, the eight victories, the samadhi without afflictions, the knowledge of aspiration, the six supernormal knowledges, the four analytical knowledges, the fourfold purity in all aspects, the ten powers and the ten strengths, the four fearlessnesses, the three protections, the three close placements of mindfulness, the nature of non-forgetfulness, the complete destruction of habitual tendencies, great compassion, the eighteen unshared dharmas of the Buddha, the omniscience of all aspects, the knowledge of the aspects of the path, and the omniscience of all. Subhuti, these are called all undefiled dharmas. Subhuti, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva should thus train in this Prajnaparamita, which is the Svabhavikakaya. Furthermore, Subhuti, having trained in this Prajnaparamita and having obtained all these dharmas, one will manifestly awaken to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. In all, in all, from all aspects, in all, the bodies of the Tathagatas, Arhats, Perfectly Awakened Buddhas, adorned with the thirty-two marks of a great being.

Adorned with eighty excellent marks, for the Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas, it will demonstrate the enjoyment of the supreme Dharma of the Great Vehicle, the unsurpassed joy, bliss, contentment, and great joy. Thus, Rabjor, the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva should train in the Prajnaparamita, which is the Sambhogakaya. Furthermore, Rabjor, when training in the Prajnaparamita, having realized all those Dharmas, having manifestly awakened into unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, in the immeasurable and limitless realms of the ten directions, at all times, the Tathagata, Arhat, perfectly and completely enlightened Buddha, through clouds of various emanations of the body, accomplishes the benefit of all sentient beings. Thus, Rabjor, the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva should train in the Prajnaparamita, which is the Nirmanakaya. Then, the venerable Rabjor said to the Bhagavan: Bhagavan, how can it be distinguished that all Dharmas are like dreams, without substance, the nature of non-substance, empty of their own characteristics, these are virtuous Dharmas, these are non-virtuous Dharmas, these are worldly Dharmas, these are transcendental Dharmas, these are defiled Dharmas, these are undefiled Dharmas, these are conditioned Dharmas, these are unconditioned Dharmas, these become the cause for realizing the fruit of stream-enterer, these become the cause for the fruit of once-returner, non-returner, and Arhat, these become the cause for self-awakening, these become the cause for unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment?

What are virtuous dharmas? These are non-virtuous dharmas. These are worldly dharmas. These are transcendental dharmas. These are dharmas with outflows. These are dharmas without outflows. These are conditioned dharmas. These are unconditioned dharmas. These are the cause for realizing the fruit of stream-entry. These are what become the cause for realizing the fruit of once-returner, the fruit of non-returner, and the fruit of arhat. These are what become the cause for self-awakening. These are what become the cause for unsurpassed, perfect, complete awakening. How should one differentiate these? The Blessed One said: Subhuti, for an ignorant ordinary person who does not possess learning, even a dream is an object of focus, and seeing a dream is also an object of focus. A hair-image is also an object of focus, and hearing a sound-image is also an object of focus. An eye-flower is also an object of focus, and seeing an eye-flower is also an object of focus. An illusion is also an object of focus, and seeing an illusion is also an object of focus. A mirage is also an object of focus, and seeing a mirage is also an object of focus. A manifestation is also an object of focus, and seeing a manifestation is also an object of focus. Therefore, a dream is also an object of focus, and seeing a dream is also an object of focus. Even up to a manifestation is also an object of focus, and seeing a manifestation is also an object of focus. With body, speech, and mind, virtuous actions are also manifestly performed. With body, speech, and mind, non-virtuous actions are also manifestly performed. With body, speech, and mind, meritorious and non-meritorious actions, as well as the actions of eye-flowers, are also manifestly performed. Therefore, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva, practicing the Prajnaparamita, the emptiness that transcends limits, the emptiness that has no beginning and no end, abiding in these two emptinesses, teaches the Dharma to sentient beings: These three realms are empty; in them there is no form, feeling, perception, formation, or consciousness, no ayatanas, and no dhatus. This is a dream, this is a hair-image, this is an eye-flower, this is an illusion, this is a mirage, this is a manifestation. In them there are no skandhas, no dhatus, and no ayatanas.
