To. Conceptions of action, consciousness, name, form, the six sense sources, contact, feeling, craving, grasping, existence, birth, and old age and death are bad places. The conception of woman is a bad place. The conception of man is a bad place. The conception of the desire realm is a bad place. The conceptions of the form realm and the formless realm are bad places. Conceptions of virtue, non-virtue, the mundane, the supramundane, the contaminated, the uncontaminated, the conditioned, and the unconditioned are bad places. Subhuti, these are the bad places of the body of a bodhisattva. Bad places of speech and bad places of mind: when a bodhisattva mahasattva engages in the Perfection of Wisdom, he completely abandons all those bad places, and also completely gives away himself. Furthermore, he also correctly exhorts others to give, and to those who want food, he completely gives food. To those who want drink, drink. To those who want clothing, he completely gives clothing. To those who want human necessities and implements, whatever they may be, he completely gives those. Furthermore, he also correctly exhorts and establishes others in completely giving whatever human necessities and implements there may be. Whatever roots of virtue there may be from that, he also shares them with all sentient beings, and completely dedicates them for the sake of purifying the Buddhafields. He himself also keeps moral discipline. Furthermore, he also correctly exhorts others to moral discipline. He himself also cultivates patience.

O Subhuti! The three thousand great thousand world realms are filled with the seven precious substances, and offerings are made to the Three Jewels, also generating the thought: "By this root of virtue, may my Buddha-field be made of the substance of the seven precious substances." Furthermore, Subhuti, when a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva plays divine musical instruments before the Buddhas or at the stupas of the Buddhas, they also generate the thought: "By this root of virtue, may the pleasing sounds of divine music constantly and uninterruptedly arise in my Buddha-field." Furthermore, Subhuti, when the three thousand great thousand world realms are filled with divine incense, and offerings are made to the Buddhas or the stupas of the Buddhas, they also generate the thought: "By this root of virtue, may the fragrance of divine incense constantly and uninterruptedly arise in my Buddha-field." Furthermore, Subhuti, when a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva offers food with a hundred flavors to the Tathagatas and the Shravakas of the Tathagatas, they also generate the thought: "By this root of virtue, may I attain complete and perfect enlightenment in my Buddha-field, and may the Sangha of Shravakas be able to enjoy food with a hundred flavors prepared by Manbu." Furthermore, Subhuti, when a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva completely offers divine ointments to the Tathagatas or the stupas of the Tathagatas, they also generate the thought: "By this root of virtue, may all sentient beings in that Buddha-field where I attain complete and perfect enlightenment have divine touch." Furthermore, Subhuti, when a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva thinks in this way, by merely thinking with the mind, pleasing forms, sounds, smells, tastes, and touches are offered to the Buddhas, the Bhagavat.

May I give and completely bestow upon the deceased, the Shravakas, and all sentient beings. Thinking thus, at that time, one thinks: "By this root of virtue, may I manifestly and completely awaken to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment in my Buddha-field, and may all sentient beings, together with the Sangha of Shravakas, also, by merely thinking with their minds, completely accomplish pleasing forms, sounds, smells, tastes, and touches." One generates such a mind. Furthermore, Subhuti, when a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, one thinks thus: "May I myself also abide in the first Dhyana. May all sentient beings also abide in the first Dhyana. May I myself also abide in the second Dhyana, the third Dhyana, and the fourth Dhyana. May all sentient beings also abide in the fourth Dhyana. May I myself also abide in loving-kindness. May all sentient beings also abide in loving-kindness. May I myself also abide in compassion, joy, and equanimity. May all sentient beings also abide in equanimity. May I myself also abide in the sphere of infinite space. May all sentient beings also abide in the sphere of infinite space. May I myself also abide in the sphere of infinite consciousness, the sphere of nothingness, and the sphere of neither perception nor non-perception. May all sentient beings also abide in the sphere of neither perception nor non-perception. May I myself also cultivate the mindfulnesses. May all sentient beings also abide in the mindfulnesses. May I myself also cultivate the four complete abandonments, the feet of miraculous power, the faculties, the powers, the branches of enlightenment, and the eightfold noble path. May all sentient beings also abide in the eightfold noble path. May I myself also cultivate the doors of liberation: emptiness, signlessness, and wishlessness. May all sentient beings also abide in the doors of liberation: emptiness, signlessness, and wishlessness." Thinking thus, one thinks in this way.
