不是因为不喜悦，而是因为喜悦；不是因为不合心意，而是因为合心意；不是因为不恭敬，而是因为恭敬，以极大的信心亲近承侍。那些菩萨摩诃萨们，也受持、执持那些如来薄伽梵所说的法，直至证得无上正等菩提，恒常忆持，永不忘失。第六十六品。 善现，我又从此以佛眼观察世间，在东方如恒河沙数的世界中，菩萨摩诃萨们为了处于卑贱地位的众生而完全施舍自身。在那里，那些菩萨摩诃萨们肢体被切割砍断，散落于十方。属于旁生之道的众生们，吃了那些菩萨摩诃萨的肉，从而对那些菩萨摩诃萨生起慈爱。由于对他们生起慈爱，便从旁生道中解脱，脱离之后转生于天界和人间。即使转生于那些地方，也令诸佛薄伽梵欢喜，承侍那些如来薄伽梵，从那些如来薄伽梵处听闻佛法，并如实地精进修持。他们以声闻乘、独觉乘、大乘或这三种乘，次第地于无余涅槃界中完全寂灭。 善现，如此，凡是发心趣向无上正等菩提，并如实地精进修持的菩萨摩诃萨们，便能成办如此众多的利益。 善现，我又从此以佛眼观察世间，在南方、西方、北方、东北方、东南方、西南方、西北方、下方和上方的世界，如恒河之

It is not because of displeasure, but because of pleasure; it is not because of disagreement, but because of agreement; it is not because of disrespect, but because of respect, that they attend and serve with great faith. Those Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas also hold and grasp whatever Dharma is taught by those Tathagata-Bhagavats, and they constantly remember it until they attain unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, never forgetting it. Chapter Sixty-Six. Subhuti, I also observe the world from here with the Buddha's eye. In the eastern world, as numerous as the sands of the Ganges River, Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas completely give themselves up for the sake of sentient beings who are in lowly states. There, those Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas have their limbs and branches cut off and scattered in the ten directions. Those sentient beings belonging to the animal realm eat the flesh of those Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas, and thus develop love for those Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas. Because they develop love for them, they are liberated from the animal realm, and after being liberated, they are born in the realms of gods and humans. Even after being born in those places, they please the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, and serve those Tathagata-Bhagavats, hear the Dharma from those Tathagata-Bhagavats, and diligently practice it as it is. They see that they gradually pass into complete Nirvana in the realm of Nirvana without remainder, through the Hearer Vehicle, the Solitary Buddha Vehicle, the Great Vehicle, or these three vehicles. Subhuti, in this way, those Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas who generate the mind for unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment and diligently practice it as it is, accomplish so many benefits. Subhuti, I also observe the world from here with the Buddha's eye. 我之如恒河沙数世界中，菩萨摩诃萨为旁生之生处有情之义利而舍自身。彼菩萨摩诃萨肢节断截，分散于十方。旁生之生处所摄之有情，食彼菩萨摩诃萨之肉，于彼菩萨摩诃萨生慈爱。彼等生慈爱者，从旁生之生处解脱，解脱后生于天及人中。彼等于彼等中生已，令诸佛薄伽梵欢喜，彼等恭敬供养诸佛薄伽梵，彼等从诸佛薄伽梵听闻正法，如是精进。彼等声闻乘，或独觉乘，或大乘，或三乘，以彼等次第完全寂灭于无余涅槃界。善现，如是菩萨摩诃萨，何者发无上正等菩提心，如是精进，彼等如是作大利益，是为寂灭旁生之生处之事业。 善现，我从此以佛眼观视世间，东方恒河沙数之世界中，菩萨摩诃萨于饿鬼境之有情，于彼饿鬼境中所有之痛苦，彼等皆令其寂灭，为舍悭吝而说法。彼等中饿鬼境之有情，于彼菩萨摩诃萨生慈爱心，从彼饿鬼之生处解脱。彼等从彼饿鬼之生处解脱后，以彼善根生于天界及人界，于无余涅槃界完全寂灭。

In my worlds as numerous as the sands of the Ganges, Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas relinquish themselves for the benefit of sentient beings in the realm of animals. Those Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas have their limbs severed and scattered in the ten directions. Sentient beings belonging to the realm of animals consume the flesh of those Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas, and develop loving-kindness towards those Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas. Those who develop loving-kindness are liberated from the realm of animals, and after liberation, are born among gods and humans. Having been born among them, they please the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, and they honor and serve the Buddhas, the Bhagavat. They hear the Dharma from the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, and thus they strive diligently. Those of the Hearer Vehicle, or the Solitary Realizer Vehicle, or the Great Vehicle, or the three vehicles, gradually and completely pass into Nirvana in the realm of Nirvana without remainder. Subhuti, thus, those Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas who generate the mind of unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, and thus strive diligently, they perform such great benefit, which is the activity of pacifying the realm of animals. Subhuti, from here, when I observe the world with the Buddha's eye, in the eastern worlds as numerous as the sands of the Ganges, Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas, for the sentient beings in the realm of pretas, pacify all the suffering that exists in those realms of pretas, and teach the Dharma to abandon miserliness. Among them, the sentient beings in the realm of pretas generate a mind of loving-kindness towards those Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas, and are liberated from those realms of pretas. After they are liberated from those realms of pretas, with that root of virtue, they are born in the realms of gods and humans, and completely pass into Nirvana in the realm of Nirvana without remainder.

In the world realms as numerous as the sands of the Ganges River in the south, west, north, northeast, southeast, southwest, northwest, below, and above, the Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas teach the Dharma to those beings in the realm of the pretas, pacifying all the suffering in those realms of the pretas, and for the sake of abandoning miserliness. Those beings in the realm of the pretas generate a mind of loving-kindness towards those Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas, and they arise from those places of birth as pretas. Having arisen from those places of birth as pretas, through that very root of virtue, they are born in the world of gods and the world of humans, and until they completely pass into nirvana in the realm of nirvana without remainder, I see that they will never be separated from the Buddhas, the Bhagavats. This is known as the activity of pacifying the world of the pretas. Subhuti, again, from here, with the eye of the Buddha, I see the world. In the world realms as numerous as the sands of the Ganges River in the eastern direction, the Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas teach the Dharma to the gods of the four great kingly lineages, and to the gods of the Thirty-three, the No-Conflict, the Joyful, the Delighting in Emanation, and the Controlling Others' Emanations. Those sons of the gods, having heard the Dharma from those Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas, gradually attain complete nirvana through the three vehicles, are attaining complete nirvana, and will attain complete nirvana.
