Flowers, incense, perfumes, garlands, unguents, human offerings, and any kind of implements, even up to the seven precious things. He abides in the Perfection of Wisdom, and benefits those beings with such benefits. Having benefited with such benefits, they are without delusion, and become endowed with wisdom. Those who abide in the Perfection of Wisdom, abide in the six perfections. He abides in all emptiness, and in the dharmas of the path to enlightenment. He abides in the noble truths, and in meditation, and in the immeasurables, and in the formless attainments, and in liberation, and in the successive abidings of attainment, and in emptiness, and in signlessness, and in wishlessness, and in clairvoyance, and in samadhi, and in the doors of dharani. He abides in the ten powers of the Tathagata, and in the four fearlessnesses, and in the four analytical knowledges. Great love, and great compassion, and the eighteen unshared dharmas of the Buddha, and he obtains the subsequent attainment of all-knowingness. Subhuti, thus the Bodhisattva Mahasattva abides in the Perfection of Wisdom, and completely ripens sentient beings, and those who are thus completely ripened, are completely liberated from the three lower realms, and completely liberated from all samsara. Then, the venerable Subhuti thought to himself: If the Bodhisattva Mahasattva is to attain such a state, then what is the path to enlightenment of the Bodhisattva Mahasattva? Then, the Blessed One, knowing the complete thoughts of the venerable Subhuti's mind, spoke thus to the venerable Subhuti: Subhuti, the six perfections are the path to enlightenment of the Bodhisattva Mahasattva. Subhuti, all emptiness is the path to enlightenment of the Bodhisattva Mahasattva. The thirty-seven factors of enlightenment are the path to enlightenment of the Bodhisattva Mahasattva.

The samadhi of non-existence, liberation, the samadhi of gradual abiding, emptiness, as well as the signless and the wishless, the superknowledges, the samadhi, and all the doors of dharani are the path to enlightenment for a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva. The ten powers of the Tathagata, the four fearlessnesses, the four analytical knowledges, great love, great compassion, and the eighteen unshared qualities of a Buddha are the path to enlightenment for a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva. Furthermore, Subhuti, all dharmas are the path to enlightenment for a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva. Subhuti, what do you think? Is there any dharma that a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva should not train in, and without training in which they can manifest complete enlightenment in unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment? Subhuti, there is no such dharma that a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva should not train in. A Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who has not trained in all dharmas cannot attain omniscience. Subhuti asked: Bhagavan, if all dharmas are empty, how should a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva train in all dharmas? Bhagavan, is saying "These are these" or "These are these," or "Worldly dharmas are these," "Transcendent dharmas are these," "Defiled dharmas are these," "Undefiled dharmas are these," "Conditioned dharmas are these," "Unconditioned dharmas are these," "Dharmas of ordinary beings are these," "Dharmas of stream-enterers are these," "Once-returners," "Non-returners," "Dharmas of Arhats are these," "Dharmas of solitary realizers are these," "Dharmas of Bodhisattvas are these," "Dharmas of Buddhas are these," not increasing elaboration? The Bhagavan said: Subhuti, it is so, it is so. All dharmas are empty. Subhuti, if all dharmas are empty by their very nature,

If not, then the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, even having studied all dharmas, will not realize the unsurpassed, perfect and complete enlightenment. Subhuti, because all dharmas are empty of intrinsic nature, therefore the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva studies all dharmas and realizes the unsurpassed, perfect and complete enlightenment. Furthermore, Subhuti, what do you think? If all dharmas are empty of intrinsic nature, how will the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva distinguish the dharmas by saying, "These are so many," or "These are"? These are worldly dharmas. These are transcendental dharmas. These are dharmas with outflows. These are dharmas without outflows. These are conditioned dharmas. These are unconditioned dharmas. These are the dharmas of ordinary beings. These are the dharmas of stream-enterers. These are the dharmas of once-returners, non-returners, and Arhats. These are the dharmas of Pratyekabuddhas. These are the dharmas of Bodhisattvas. These are the dharmas of Buddhas. Subhuti, what do you think? Do these beings know that all dharmas are empty in that way? If they know, then the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, even having studied all dharmas, will not attain omniscience. Subhuti, because these beings do not know that all dharmas are empty, therefore the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, having realized the unsurpassed, perfect and complete enlightenment, establishes the Dharma and teaches the Dharma to beings. This is the activity of establishing the Bodhisattva path. Subhuti, therefore, when the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practices the path of enlightenment, he should first thoroughly examine it in this way: "Apart from manifest activities, there is no dharma here that is intrinsically an object of focus." He should thoroughly examine it in this way. Having thus understood the intrinsic nature of all dharmas, he can understand the Paramitas, all emptinesses, and Bodhi.
