It is called unsurpassed. It is called the unsurpassed above. It is called unequaled. It is called unequal and equal. Kungawo, whoever wishes to measure or seek the limit of the Perfection of Wisdom, he only wishes to measure or seek the limit of space. Why is that? Kungawo, the Perfection of Wisdom is immeasurable. Kungawo, I have not shown a measure for the Perfection of Wisdom. Many names, many sentences, and many words have measure and connection, but the Perfection of Wisdom has no measure and connection. This is said to be the third cause for attaining great enlightenment, and these are the causes that have been spoken of. Homage. Bhante, why is it that the Perfection of Wisdom has no measure and connection? The Blessed One said: Kungawo, because it is inexhaustible, the Perfection of Wisdom has no measure and connection. Kungawo, because it is secluded, the Perfection of Wisdom has no measure and connection. Kungawo, the Tathagatas, Arhats, Perfectly Awakened Ones of the past, however many have appeared, they also arose from this Perfection of Wisdom, but the Perfection of Wisdom has not been exhausted. Kungawo, the Tathagatas, Arhats, Perfectly Awakened Ones of the future, however many will appear, they also will arise from this Perfection of Wisdom, but the Perfection of Wisdom will not be exhausted. Kungawo, now in the ten directions of the world, the Tathagatas, Arhats, Perfectly Awakened Ones, however many reside and maintain life, and the Buddhas, the Blessed Ones who teach the Dharma, they also arose from this Perfection of Wisdom, but the Perfection of Wisdom has not been exhausted. Why is that? Kungawo, thinking to exhaust the Perfection of Wisdom is only thinking to exhaust space. The Perfection of Wisdom is inexhaustible, not exhausted, and will not be exhausted. The Perfection of Meditation and the Perfection of Diligence and

Would one with such a tongue speak falsely? Would he speak differently? Ananda replied: Blessed One, no. Well-gone One, no. The Blessed One said: Ananda, therefore, widely show this Prajnaparamita to the four assemblies. Speak, proclaim, tell, explain, thoroughly explain, clarify, distinguish, make clear, and truly show it. Ananda, from this profound Prajnaparamita, what should the Hearer Vehicle, the Solitary Buddha Vehicle, and the Bodhisattva Vehicle person learn, and how should they learn as taught, each in their own place.

He extensively explained all the dharmas that abide therein. Ananda, this profound Prajñāpāramitā encompasses all letters. Ananda, this profound Prajñāpāramitā is the gateway to all dhāraṇīs that Bodhisattva-Mahāsattvas should study, it is the gateway to all dhāraṇīs. For those Bodhisattva-Mahāsattvas who hold this dhāraṇī, all the doors of fearlessness and individual perfect knowledge will manifest. Ananda, I have said that this profound Prajñāpāramitā is the inexhaustible treasury of the sacred Dharma of the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, of the past, future, and present. Ananda, therefore, you should have faith in it and understand it. Whoever holds, recites, and comprehends this profound Prajñāpāramitā is holding the Bodhi of the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, of the past, future, and present. Ananda, the dhāraṇī of Prajñāpāramitā that you hold is the dhāraṇī of Prajñāpāramitā that I have taught, which will hold all dharmas. This is the cause for generating faith in the Great Bodhi. Chapter Fifty-Seven Then, the Venerable Subhūti thought to himself: Prajñāpāramitā is profound, and the Bodhi of the Tathāgatas, the Arhats, the Perfectly Awakened Ones, is also profound. I should ask the Tathāgata, the Arhat, the Perfectly Awakened One about this. Then, the Venerable Subhūti said to the Bhagavat: Bhagavat, Prajñāpāramitā is inexhaustible. The Bhagavat said: Subhūti, because space is inexhaustible, Prajñāpāramitā is also inexhaustible. He asked: Bhagavat, how should one realize Prajñāpāramitā? The Bhagavat said: Subhūti, because form is inexhaustible, one should realize Prajñāpāramitā. Because feeling, perception, formation, and consciousness are inexhaustible, one should realize Prajñāpāramitā.
