When all parts are complete, and one is standing on the battlefield, it is difficult for the king to be defeated by rivals or opponents and enemies. Subhuti, similarly, if the five perfections are not separated from the Perfection of Wisdom, then it is also difficult to be defeated by demons or gods of the demonic hosts, as well as individuals with excessive pride, or degenerate Bodhisattvas, this is called the aspectual thought of completing the path of practice. Again, Subhuti, for example, the kings of cities all follow the rule of the Wheel-Turning King, and come to serve day and night. Subhuti, similarly, if the five perfections are completely grasped by the Perfection of Wisdom, then they will go to where all-knowingness is, this is called the aspectual thought of going by other causes. Again, Subhuti, for example, no matter how many small rivers there are, they all flow to where the great river Ganges is, they join the Ganges, and flow into the great ocean. Subhuti, similarly, if the five perfections are completely grasped by the Perfection of Wisdom, then they will go to where all-knowingness is, this is called the aspectual thought of surpassing what is done. Again, Subhuti, for example, a man's right hand can do all that is needed. Subhuti, the Perfection of Wisdom should also be regarded in the same way, the five perfections should be regarded as like the left hand, this is called the aspectual thought of having only function. Again, Subhuti, for example, the water of small rivers and the water of large rivers, no matter how much there is, when they all flow into the great ocean, then they all become one salty taste. Subhuti, similarly, if the five perfections are completely grasped by the Perfection of Wisdom, when they all go to all-knowingness, then they all become one taste of all-knowingness, this is called the thought of thinking about various different thoughts.

The wheel-turning king's army is endowed with four divisions, and the precious wheel goes and stays in front of it. Wherever the wheel-turning king stays for the sake of food, the precious wheel completely satisfies the entire army of the wheel-turning king, and the precious wheel does not move from its place. Subhuti, in the same way, these five perfections are also led by the perfection of wisdom, going and staying where all-knowingness is. Having stayed there, they do not depart from that place. The statement "they do not depart from that place" refers to the conceptualization of not knowing staying and entering. Subhuti, for example, the precious wheel of the wheel-turning king, and the precious minister, the precious householder, the precious woman, the precious jewel, the precious elephant, and the precious horse, these go in front of the army endowed with four divisions. Subhuti, in the same way, the perfection of wisdom also goes in front of these five perfections, and having gone in front, it will stay where all-knowingness is. The perfection of wisdom does not think, "The perfection of giving follows behind me." It also does not think, "The perfection of ethics, the perfection of patience, the perfection of diligence, and the perfection of meditation follow behind me." The perfection of giving also does not think, "I follow behind the perfection of wisdom." The perfection of ethics, the perfection of patience, the perfection of diligence, and the perfection of meditation also do not think, "I follow behind the perfection of wisdom." Why is that? Because their nature is such, they have no power, they are empty by nature and deceptive, like a mirage. Then, the venerable Subhuti said to the Blessed One,

Then, Subhuti reported as follows: "World Honored One, if all dharmas are empty of inherent existence, then how does a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practice the Perfection of Generosity, the Perfection of Ethics, the Perfection of Patience, the Perfection of Diligence, the Perfection of Meditation, and the Perfection of Wisdom, and realize unexcelled perfect enlightenment, and manifest enlightenment?" The World Honored One said: "Subhuti, here, when a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practices the six perfections, he thinks: 'Alas! These beings abiding in the world have their minds inverted.' They are not skilled in means and cannot be completely liberated from samsara. I should practice the Perfection of Generosity, the Perfection of Ethics, the Perfection of Patience, the Perfection of Diligence, the Perfection of Meditation, and the Perfection of Wisdom for the sake of those sentient beings." Then, for the sake of those sentient beings, he completely gives away internal and external objects. When giving, he thinks: 'I have not given away anything.' Why? Because these things are empty of inherent existence."""Subhuti, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who has completely realized this way perfects the Perfection of Generosity. For the sake of those sentient beings, he does not discriminate against bad ethics. Why? Because he thinks: 'I have correctly entered unexcelled perfect enlightenment, and there will be no killing, no taking what is not given, no sexual misconduct, no lying, no divisive speech, no harsh speech, no idle chatter, no greed, no harmful intent, no wrong views, and no craving for objects, no craving for gods, no craving for Brahma.'
