Furthermore, if an unprophesied Bodhisattva harbors ill will, fights, argues, disturbs, and exposes the faults of a prophesied Bodhisattva, if he does not abandon omniscience, then for as much as he generates sinful thoughts, fights, argues, disturbs, and exposes faults, he must wear armor for that many eons. Ananda asked: "Bhagavan, do those who generate Bodhicitta have other consequences? Or do they only wear that many eons of armor?" The Bhagavan replied: "Ananda, I have taught the Dharma including consequences to those of the Hearer Vehicle, the Solitary Realizer Vehicle, and the Bodhisattva Vehicle. Ananda, if that person fights and argues with a person of the Bodhisattva Vehicle, speaks abusive and unpleasant words, fights and argues and abuses, and after speaking unpleasant words, does not repent, holds a grudge in his heart, then, Ananda, I do not say that person will have any consequences, if that person does not abandon omniscience, he must undoubtedly wear armor for that many eons. Ananda, if a Bodhisattva Mahasattva fights and argues, even if he is abused and spoken ill of, he does not hold a grudge in his heart, and from then on he upholds his vows, thinking that he has made a mistake, if I must eliminate the suffering of all sentient beings, then my words are refuted; if I must become a bridge for all sentient beings, then it is unreasonable for me to speak ill of others and refute them, I should not do that, I should act like a deaf-mute. I should not let my thoughts be disturbed. If I must awaken these sentient beings to unsurpassed perfect and complete enlightenment, and completely liberate them from suffering, then it is unreasonable for me to harbor ill will towards them, and for me to be angry with them, I should not harbor ill will towards them, I should not be angry with them.

Bodhi. I have said that the Bodhisattva Mahasattva will arise, and even if the evil demon seeks an opportunity, he will not find it. Ananda, furthermore, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva should not associate with individuals of the Hearer Vehicle. He should not dwell with them. He should not live together. Even if he lives together, he should not harbor malice towards anyone. He should not quarrel. What is the reason for this? Because if I harbor malice towards them and quarrel with them, it is not appropriate for me. What is the reason for this? Because one should think: These are the people I must enlighten to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, and completely liberate from all suffering. This is called the seventh increase. Chapter Fifty-Four. Ananda asked: World Honored One, how should a Bodhisattva Mahasattva associate with individuals of the Bodhisattva Vehicle? The World Honored One replied: Ananda, for example, just as one associates with a teacher, so should a Bodhisattva Mahasattva associate with individuals of the Bodhisattva Vehicle. What is the reason for this? Because this is my friend, a fellow traveler in the same boat. As he should learn, so should I learn. He should practice the perfection of generosity, the perfection of ethics, the perfection of patience, the perfection of diligence, the perfection of meditation, the perfection of wisdom, as well as all emptiness, the factors of enlightenment, the noble truths, meditation, the immeasurables, the formless absorptions, liberation, the successive abidings in absorption, emptiness, signlessness, wishlessness, clairvoyance, samadhi, the gateways of dharani, the ten powers of the Tathagata, the four fearlessnesses, the four analytical understandings, great love, great compassion, the unshared qualities of the Buddha, and all-knowingness.

I should also train myself in that very thing. Furthermore, one should generate the thought in this way: 'This is the path that reveals perfect and complete enlightenment. If he engages in mixed practices and is separated from the mental engagement that is endowed with all-knowingness, then I should not train myself in that. If this Bodhisattva-Mahasattva abides without being separated from the mental engagement that is endowed with all-knowingness, then I should also train myself in that way.' A Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who trains in that way is one who has declined in training. Then, the venerable Subhuti said to the Blessed One: 'Blessed One, in what equality should a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva train, and what is the equality of the Bodhisattvas-Mahasattvas?' The Blessed One replied: 'Subhuti, emptiness of internal is the equality of the Bodhisattvas-Mahasattvas. Emptiness of external is the equality of the Bodhisattvas-Mahasattvas. Emptiness of both internal and external is the equality of the Bodhisattvas-Mahasattvas. Subhuti, emptiness of the absence of entity's own nature up to is the equality of the Bodhisattvas-Mahasattvas. Form is empty by form. Feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness are empty by consciousness. The sense bases, the elements, and dependent origination are empty by dependent origination. The perfections, all emptinesses, and the dharmas of the aspects of enlightenment are empty by the dharmas of the aspects of enlightenment. The noble truths, meditative stabilizations, immeasurables, and formless absorptions, liberations, and the successive abidings of meditative stabilization are empty by the successive abidings of meditative stabilization. Emptiness, signlessness, wishlessness, superknowledges, samadhi, and the doors of dharani are empty by the doors of dharani.
