The ten grounds, emptiness, signlessness, wishlessness, supernormal knowledges, samadhi, the doors of dharani, the ten powers of the Tathagata, the four fearlessnesses, the four analytical knowledges, the unshared qualities of a Buddha, etc., are also without substance. Great love, great compassion, great joy, and great equanimity are also without substance. The conditioned realm and the unconditioned realm are also without substance. The Bhagavan said: Subhuti, the very omniscience is also without substance. Form, feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness are also without substance. The sense bases, the elements, and dependent origination are without substance. All the perfections, all emptinesses, and the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment are also without substance. The noble truths, meditative stabilizations, the immeasurables, the formless absorptions, the eight liberations, the nine sequential abidings, emptiness, signlessness, wishlessness, supernormal knowledges, samadhi, the doors of dharani, the ten powers of the Tathagata, the four fearlessnesses, the four analytical knowledges, the unshared qualities of a Buddha, etc., are also without substance. Great love, great compassion, great joy, and great equanimity are also without substance. The conditioned and unconditioned realms are also without substance. Why is that? Subhuti, it is like this: omniscience itself has no intrinsic nature. Subhuti, whatever has no intrinsic nature is without substance. Asked: Bhagavan, why does omniscience itself have no intrinsic nature? The Bhagavan said: Subhuti, that which arises from combination has no intrinsic nature. Whatever arises from combination and has no intrinsic nature is without substance. Subhuti, therefore, to say that all phenomena are of the nature of insubstantiality is a distorted conception of valid perception. Subhuti, like this...

I, all dharmas are of the nature of emptiness. All dharmas are of the nature of signlessness. All dharmas are of the nature of wishlessness. Subhuti, in this way also, all dharmas are of the nature of suchness. All dharmas are of the nature of the ultimate reality. All dharmas are of the nature of the element of dharma. Subhuti, in these ways also, all dharmas should be understood as being of the nature of non-entity. Asked: Blessed One, if thus all dharmas are of the nature of non-entity, then how does a Bodhisattva Mahasattva, who has generated the first thought, practice the perfection of generosity, purify the Buddha-fields, and ripen sentient beings? How does he practice the perfection of morality, the perfection of patience, the perfection of diligence, the perfection of meditation, the perfection of wisdom, purify the Buddha-fields, and ripen sentient beings? How does he practice the first dhyana, the second dhyana, the third dhyana, the fourth dhyana, purify the Buddha-fields, and ripen sentient beings? How does he practice loving-kindness, compassion, joy, and equanimity, purify the Buddha-fields, and ripen sentient beings? How does he practice the sphere of infinite space, the sphere of infinite consciousness, the sphere of nothingness, the sphere of neither perception nor non-perception, purify the Buddha-fields, and ripen sentient beings? How does he practice inner emptiness, outer emptiness, inner-outer emptiness, emptiness of the nature of non-entity, purify the Buddha-fields, and ripen sentient beings? How does he practice mindfulness, perfect abandonment, the foundations of miraculous power, the faculties, the powers, the limbs of enlightenment, the eightfold noble path, purify the Buddha-fields,

It is to fully ripen sentient beings. The noble truths and, meditative stabilizations and, immeasurables and formless absorptions, the eight liberations and, the nine successive abidings and, emptiness and, signlessness and, wishlessness and, extrasensory perception and, samādhi and, the gateways of dhāraṇī and, the ten powers of the Tathāgata and, fearlessness and, individual perfect knowledge and, the eighteen unshared qualities of a Buddha and, up to the state of omniscience, acting in between, it is to completely purify the Buddha-field, it is to fully ripen sentient beings. The Bhagavan said: Subhuti, thus becoming fully familiar with all dharmas as being without intrinsic nature, it is to completely purify the Buddha-field, it is to fully ripen sentient beings, and completely purifying the Buddha-field and, those sentient beings also knowing it to be without intrinsic nature, that itself is the skillful means of a Bodhisattva-Mahāsattva. That Bodhisattva-Mahāsattva acts in the perfection of generosity, and makes himself fully familiar with the path to enlightenment. In the perfection of ethics and, the perfection of patience and, the perfection of diligence and, the perfection of meditative stabilization and, acting in the perfection of wisdom, he makes himself fully familiar with the path to enlightenment. In the emptiness of internal and, the emptiness of external and, the emptiness of both internal and external and, acting in between the emptiness of the intrinsic nature of non-things, he makes himself fully familiar with the path to enlightenment. The mindfulnesses and, the perfect abandonments and, the legs of magical power and, the faculties and, the powers and, the limbs of enlightenment and, acting on the eightfold noble path, he makes himself fully familiar with the path to enlightenment.
