One should diligently cultivate familiarity and comprehend with the mind. Moreover, one must comprehend in such a way that the mind and the phenomena arising from the mind do not transmigrate. The Blessed One said: Subhuti, it is so, it is so. If a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva studies these six perfections taught in brief and in detail, he will understand the brief and the detailed aspects of all phenomena. Asked: Blessed One, how does a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva seek the brief and detailed aspects of all phenomena? Bodhisattva Mahasattvas should study this. In suchness, birth is not seen, cessation is not seen, and changing from abiding is not seen. This is the suchness up to the all-knowingness. The Blessed One said: Limitlessness is the true limit. Bodhisattva Mahasattvas who study this limit will know the essence and expansion of all dharmas. If one knows the realm of dharma, Bodhisattva Mahasattvas will know the essence and expansion of all dharmas. Asked: Blessed One, what is the realm of dharma? The Blessed One said: The absence of a realm of dharma is the realm of dharma. In this realm of dharma, neither the initial cessation nor the complete cessation is seen. Bodhisattva Mahasattvas who know the realm of dharma in this way will know the essence and expansion of all dharmas. Asked: Blessed One, how should one seek the essence and expansion of all dharmas? The Blessed One said: In any case, one should know that all dharmas are neither possessed nor not possessed. Asked: Blessed One, what are those dharmas that are neither possessed nor not possessed? The Blessed One said: Form is neither possessed nor not possessed. Feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness are neither possessed nor not possessed. The sense bases, elements, and dependent origination are neither possessed nor not possessed.

All perfections, and all emptiness, and the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment, are neither possessed nor not possessed. The noble truths, and meditation, and the immeasurables, and the formless absorptions, and liberation, and the successive abidings in absorption, and emptiness, and signlessness, and wishlessness, and clairvoyance, and samadhi, and the doors of dharani, are neither possessed nor not possessed. The ten powers of the Tathagata, and the four fearlessnesses, and the four analytical knowledges, and the eighteen unshared qualities of a Buddha, are neither possessed nor not possessed. Even up to all-knowingness, it is neither possessed nor not possessed. The conditioned realm is neither possessed nor not possessed. The unconditioned realm is neither possessed nor not possessed. Why is that? Because whatever becomes possessed or not possessed, such a nature does not exist. Whatever does not have a nature, that is non-thingness. Non-thingness is neither possessed nor not possessed by non-thingness, now all dharmas should be known. Subhuti, this is the summary of the Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas. The Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who is a beginner should train in this summary of the perfections. Abiding in the tenth Bodhisattva ground, one should train in the summary. The Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who studies this summary will come to know the essence and details of all dharmas. Asked: Blessed One, this is realized by Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas with sharp faculties. The Blessed One said: Subhuti, this is also realized by Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas with dull faculties. That is also realized by Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas with middling faculties. This is also realized by Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas with equally balanced faculties. Therefore, there is no Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who desires to learn who will not realize it.
