I think so. Furthermore, I am also urging to abandon wrong views, proclaiming the merits of abandoning wrong views, and praising and rejoicing in the merits of those who have abandoned wrong views. If such discipline does not cling to any Dharma of the Hearers or Solitary Buddhas, what need to mention others? These roots of virtue are shared with all sentient beings and dedicated to the unexcelled, perfect, and complete enlightenment. Just like that, they are dedicated without involving the three concepts of who dedicates, what is dedicated, and where it is dedicated. Subhuti, in that way, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva dwells in the Perfection of Wisdom and thus perfectly upholds the Perfection of Discipline. Request: Blessed One, how does a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva dwell in the Perfection of Wisdom and perfectly uphold the Perfection of Patience? The Blessed One said: Subhuti, here, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva dwells in the Perfection of Wisdom and generates conforming patience. He thinks like this: For this, there is no Dharma that arises or ceases, or appears or decays, or dies or departs, or insults or slanders, or reveals faults, or cuts or strikes. From the initial generation of Bodhicitta until dwelling under the Bodhi tree, even if all sentient beings come before him, insult and drive him away, or strike him with stones and tiles, or stab and cut him with weapons, he would think like this: Alas, the Dharma-nature of all Dharmas is truly wonderful. For this, there is no Dharma that insults or drives away, or cuts or strikes, or binds. He also does not dedicate these roots of virtue to the Hearers and Solitary Buddhas, but shares them with all sentient beings and dedicates them to the unexcelled, perfect, and complete enlightenment, just like that, dedicating without involving the three concepts of who dedicates, what is dedicated, and where it is dedicated. Subhuti, in that way, a Bodhisattva

The great Bodhisattva dwells in the Perfection of Wisdom and fully upholds the Perfection of Patience. The question: World Honored One, how does a Bodhisattva Mahasattva dwell in the Perfection of Wisdom and fully uphold the Perfection of Diligence? The World Honored One said: Subhuti, here, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva dwells in the Perfection of Wisdom and abides in the four bases of miraculous power. With skillful means, he generates diligence of body and mind. He goes to one world, or a hundred worlds, or a thousand worlds, or between hundreds of thousands of billions of worlds, teaching the Dharma to sentient beings and establishing them in the Perfection of Giving. He establishes them in the Perfection of Morality, the Perfection of Patience, the Perfection of Diligence, the Perfection of Meditation, and the Perfection of Wisdom. He establishes them in the four mindfulnesses. He establishes them up to the eightfold noble path. He establishes them in the fruit of stream-enterer. He establishes them in the fruit of once-returner, the fruit of non-returner, the state of Arhat, and solitary enlightenment. He establishes them up to unsurpassed perfect and complete enlightenment. However, in any case, he does not establish them in the conditioned realm, nor does he establish them in the unconditioned realm; thus he establishes them. Those roots of virtue are not dedicated to the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, but are shared with all sentient beings and dedicated to unsurpassed perfect and complete enlightenment. How is that? He dedicates in such a way that the three concepts of who dedicates, what is dedicated, and where it is dedicated do not arise. Subhuti, thus a Bodhisattva Mahasattva dwells in the Perfection of Wisdom and fully upholds the Perfection of Diligence. The question: World Honored One, how does a Bodhisattva Mahasattva dwell in the Perfection of Wisdom

abides in the perfection, and fully upholds the perfection of meditation. The Blessed One said: Subhuti, here a bodhisattva mahasattva abides in the perfection of wisdom, and apart from the samadhi of the Tathagata, whether it is the samadhi of a Shravaka, or the samadhi of a Pratyekabuddha, or the samadhi of a Bodhisattva, he enters into all those samadhis, abides in those samadhis, and enters into and emerges from the eight liberations, both in accordance with and not in accordance with the order. What are the eight? Subhuti, here a bodhisattva mahasattva, having form, sees forms, this is the first liberation. Having no perception of form internally, he sees external forms, this is the second liberation. The liberation of beauty, this is the third liberation. He, in all ways, having completely transcended the perception of form, the perceptions of resistance having ceased, not attending to the perceptions of variety, thinking 'space is infinite,' thus abiding having attained the sphere of infinite space, this is the fourth liberation. He, in all ways, having completely transcended the sphere of infinite space, thinking 'consciousness is infinite,' thus abiding having attained the sphere of infinite consciousness, this is the fifth liberation. He, in all ways, having completely transcended the sphere of infinite consciousness, thinking 'there is nothing at all,' thus abiding having attained the sphere of nothingness, this is the sixth liberation. He, in all ways, having completely transcended the sphere of nothingness, abiding having attained the sphere of neither perception nor non-perception, this is the seventh liberation. He, in all ways, having completely transcended the sphere of neither perception nor non-perception, abiding having attained the cessation of perception and feeling, this is the eighth liberation. Thus, he enters into and emerges from these eight liberations, both in accordance with and not in accordance with the order. The samadhi of gradual abiding
