and absence, and direct perception, and samādhis, and the doors of dhāraṇīs, and the powers of the tathāgatas, and the fearlessnesses, and the separate correct knowledges, and the practice of the eighteen unshared qualities of a buddha, and the practice up to the state of all-knowingness, should be thoroughly realized. A bodhisattva mahāsattva who thoroughly realizes practices the perfection of generosity, and the perfection of ethics, and the perfection of patience, and the perfection of diligence, and the perfection of meditation, and the perfection of wisdom, and practices emptiness of the interior, and practices up to the emptiness of the nature of non-things, and practices the mindfulnesses, and the correct abandonments, and the legs of magical power, and the faculties, and the powers, and the limbs of enlightenment, and practices the eightfold noble path, and practices up to the eighteen unshared qualities of a buddha, and practices up to the state of all-knowingness, will not become a śrāvaka or a pratyekabuddha. Ānanda, therefore, I entrust this profound perfection of wisdom to you. Ānanda, if you hold all the teachings I have taught, except for the perfection of wisdom, and fully understand them, and then forget them, Ānanda, I will not blame you for that. Whoever does not abandon the Buddha, does not abandon the Dharma, does not abandon the Sangha, does not abandon the Buddhas, the Bhagavad-Tathagatas of the past, future, and present, and does not abandon the Bodhi of the Buddhas, the Bhagavad-Tathagatas of the past, future, and present, should not abandon this Prajnaparamita, for this is my instruction. Ananda, whichever son or daughter of good family who holds, carries, reads, increases, comprehends, properly attends to, and also extensively shows, teaches, fully teaches, makes known, fully reveals, connects, distinguishes, clarifies, and correctly shows this profound Prajnaparamita in many ways to others, that son or daughter of good family will quickly awaken to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, and will be close to the all-knowingness. Why is that? Ananda, the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment of the Buddhas, the Bhagavad-Tathagatas, arises from Prajnaparamita. Ananda, the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment of all the Tathagatas, Arhats, and perfectly enlightened Buddhas who appeared in the past, also arose from this very Prajnaparamita.
