不應修習將痛苦之想、我之想、無我之想、寂靜之想、不寂靜之想視為實有。不應修習將菩提分法諸法視為實有。不應修習將空性、無相、無願之等持,八解脫,九次第住等持視為實有。不應修習將有尋有伺之等持,無尋唯伺之等持,無尋無伺之等持視為實有。不應修習將苦聖諦、集聖諦、滅聖諦、道聖諦,知苦、知集、知滅、知道,知盡、知不生,知法、隨行知,世俗知、串習知、如語知視為實有。不應修習將一切波羅蜜多,一切空性視為實有。不應修習將六神通,一切等持,一切陀羅尼門,如來十力,四無畏,四無礙解,大慈、大悲,十八不共佛法視為實有。不應修習將入流果、一來果、不還果、阿羅漢,獨覺,乃至一切相智,斷除一切習氣之連結煩惱視為實有。何以故?善現!以實有想者,無有修習般若波羅蜜多。以實有想者,無有修習靜慮波羅蜜多,精進波羅蜜多,安忍波羅蜜多,持戒波羅蜜多,布施波羅蜜多。

One should not meditate on considering the perception of suffering, the perception of self, the perception of no-self, the perception of peace, the perception of non-peace as truly existent. One should not meditate on considering all the dharmas of the aspects of enlightenment as truly existent. One should not meditate on considering emptiness, signlessness, wishlessness samadhi, the eight liberations, the nine successive abiding samadhis as truly existent. One should not meditate on considering samadhi with investigation and analysis, samadhi with only analysis without investigation, samadhi without investigation and without analysis as truly existent. One should not meditate on considering the noble truth of suffering, the noble truth of origin, the noble truth of cessation, the noble truth of the path, knowing suffering, knowing origin, knowing cessation, knowing the path, knowing exhaustion, knowing non-arising, knowing dharma, knowing following, knowing conventional truth, knowing familiarity, knowing literal truth as truly existent. One should not meditate on considering all perfections and all emptiness as truly existent. One should not meditate on considering the six superknowledges, all samadhis, all dharani gates, the ten powers of the Tathagata, the four fearlessnesses, the four analytical knowledges, great love, great compassion, the eighteen unshared qualities of the Buddha as truly existent. One should not meditate on considering the fruit of stream-enterer, the fruit of once-returner, the fruit of non-returner, the state of Arhat, solitary enlightenment, up to the all-knowingness, abandoning all afflictions that connect habitual tendencies as truly existent. Why is that? Subhuti, for one with the perception of truly existent things, there is no meditation on the Perfection of Wisdom. For one with the perception of truly existent things, there is no meditation on the Perfection of Concentration, the Perfection of Diligence, the Perfection of Patience, the Perfection of Discipline, the Perfection of Generosity.

For those who have a concept of things, there is no cessation until all afflictions of habitual connection are abandoned. Why is that? Like this, they are attached to the two extremes of saying, "This is me" regarding things. Giving and, discipline and, patience and, diligence and, meditation and, wisdom and, before abandoning all afflictions of habitual connection, they become attached to the two extremes of saying, "This is me." Whoever becomes attached to the two extremes, there is no liberation for them. Why is that? Subhuti, for those who have a concept of things, there is no giving, no discipline, no patience, no diligence, no meditation, and no wisdom. If there is no complete understanding before abandoning all afflictions of habitual connection, how can one expect to attain liberation? Question: Blessed One, what is meant by "having things"? What is meant by "not having things"? The Blessed One replied: Subhuti, two are the existence of things, and non-duality is the non-existence of things. Question: Blessed One, what is "two"? The perception of following after aspects is twofold. The perception of impermanence, the perception of suffering, the perception of selflessness, the perception of unattractiveness, the perception of non-entity, the perception of self, the perception of sentient beings, the perception of life, the perception of birth, the perception of nourishment, the perception of a person, the perception of an individual, the perception of arising from power, the perception of a powerful offspring, the perception of a doer, the perception of a feeler, the perception of a knower, the perception of a seer are twofold. The perception of permanence, the perception of happiness, the perception of purity, the perception of self are twofold. The perception of all the dharmas of the aspects of enlightenment is twofold. The samadhi of emptiness, signlessness, wishlessness, the eight liberations, the perception of the nine successive abidings are twofold. The samadhi with investigation and analysis, the samadhi without investigation but only with analysis, the perception of the samadhi without investigation and without analysis are twofold. The noble truth of suffering, the noble truth of origin, the noble truth of cessation, the noble truth of the path, knowing suffering, knowing origin, knowing cessation, knowing the path, knowing exhaustion, knowing non-arising, knowing the dharma, knowing the following, knowing the conventional, knowing familiarity, the perception of knowing as it sounds are twofold.
