Liberation, Samadhi, Equanimity, and the doors of Dharani are all complete cessation of the prior and subsequent limits. Emptiness, signlessness, wishlessness, and supernormal knowledges are all complete cessation of the prior and subsequent limits. The ten powers, fearlessnesses, individual correct knowledge, and the unmixed qualities of the Buddha are all complete cessation of the prior and subsequent limits. Up to the all-knowingness, it is the complete cessation of the prior and subsequent limits. Complete Nirvana. Subhuti, therefore, Bodhi is the complete cessation of all dharmas. Subhuti, the complete cessation of the prior and subsequent limits of all dharmas, that is peace, that is goodness, that is truth. For example, emptiness, objectlessness, the cessation of the continuum of the path, the exhaustion of craving, detachment from desire, cessation, and Nirvana. Subhuti, therefore, Bodhisattva Mahasattva, having attained the unsurpassed perfect complete enlightenment, proclaims the complete cessation of the prior and subsequent limits of all dharmas, which is the island for worldly beings. Subhuti, how does a Bodhisattva Mahasattva attain unsurpassed perfect complete enlightenment and bring light to worldly beings? Subhuti, in this, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva uses the light of wisdom to dispel the darkness of ignorance for beings who have long been covered by the shell of the egg of ignorance and oppressed by darkness, making them free from dimness. Subhuti, therefore, Bodhisattva Mahasattva, having attained unsurpassed perfect complete enlightenment, brings light to the world. Subhuti, how does a Bodhisattva Mahasattva attain unsurpassed perfect complete enlightenment and become a lamp and source of light for beings? Subhuti, in this, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva

That Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, having manifestly and completely awakened to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, accurately teaches sentient beings about those sutras that possess the six perfections and the four objects of collection, accurately encourages sentient beings in them, and skillfully establishes them in practice. Subhuti, in this way, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, having manifestly and completely awakened to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, holds the lamp for sentient beings and emits light. Subhuti, how does a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, having manifestly and completely awakened to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, become a guide for sentient beings? Subhuti, in this case, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, having manifestly and completely awakened to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, teaches the single Great Vehicle path for the sake of purifying the four types of beings who have entered evil paths, in order to truly avert sorrow and harm, to extinguish suffering and displeasure, to realize the noble Dharma, and to manifest nirvana. Subhuti, in this way, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, having manifestly and completely awakened to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, becomes a guide for sentient beings; this is the function of an island. Subhuti, how does a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, having manifestly and completely awakened to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, become a leader for worldly beings? Subhuti, in this case, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva generates great compassion for the classes of sentient beings, and having manifestly and completely awakened to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, teaches the Dharma to sentient beings that form has no birth, no cessation, no defilement, and no purification, and truly clarifies it. Feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness also have no birth, no cessation, no defilement.

Because there is no affliction and no purification, the Dharma is taught, thereby truly and thoroughly clarifying. Similarly, the perfections of generosity, discipline, patience, diligence, meditation, and wisdom, because they have no birth, no cessation, no complete affliction, and no purification, the Dharma is taught, thereby truly and thoroughly clarifying. The perfections of skillful means, aspiration, power, and knowledge, because they have no birth, no cessation, no complete affliction, and no purification, the Dharma is taught, thereby truly and thoroughly clarifying. The emptiness of inner, the emptiness of outer, the emptiness of inner and outer, and the emptiness of the nature of non-things, because they have no birth, no cessation, no complete affliction, and no purification, the Dharma is taught, thereby truly and thoroughly clarifying. The thirty-seven factors of enlightenment, the noble truths, the immeasurables, the meditations, the formless absorptions, and the superknowledges, because they have no birth, no cessation, no complete affliction, and no purification, the Dharma is taught, thereby truly and thoroughly clarifying. The eight liberations, the nine successive abidings, emptiness, signlessness, and wishlessness, because they have no birth, no cessation, no complete affliction, and no purification, the Dharma is taught, thereby truly and thoroughly clarifying. Similarly, all samadhis, all dharani gates, the ten powers, the four fearlessnesses, the four analytical knowledges, and the eighteen unshared qualities of a Buddha, because they have no birth, no cessation, no complete affliction, and no purification, the Dharma is taught, thereby truly and thoroughly clarifying.
