Like a mother, completely filled, the Tathagatas also teach the Dharma for a kalpa or more than a kalpa. Each Tathagata completely liberates immeasurable, countless, and unfathomable beings from suffering, yet the realm of beings does not decrease or increase. Why is that? Because beings do not exist, because beings are empty. World Honored One, therefore, those who attain unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment for the sake of beings are actually purifying the entirety of space. This is known as the practice of extremely difficult deeds. Then, another monk thought: For that in which no dharma arises or ceases, it can be established as the aggregate of discipline, it can be established as the aggregate of concentration, it can be established as the aggregate of wisdom, it can be established as the aggregate of liberation, it can be established as the aggregate of the knowledge and vision of liberation, it can be established as the fruit of stream-entry, it can be established as the fruit of once-returning, it can be established as the fruit of non-returning, it can be established as the state of an Arhat, it can be established as self-enlightenment, it can be established as the Tathagata, Arhat, perfectly and completely enlightened Buddha, it can be established as the Three Jewels, it can be established as the turning of the wheel of Dharma—to the World Honored Mother, the Perfection of Wisdom, I prostrate! This is known as a meaningful practice. Then, the Lord of the Gods, Indra, said to the venerable Subhuti: Venerable Subhuti, if there is a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who diligently practices this profound Perfection of Wisdom, what is he diligently practicing? Subhuti replied: Kausika, those who intend to learn this profound Perfection of Wisdom are diligently practicing space. Then, the Lord of the Gods, Indra, said to the World Honored One: World Honored One, whether it be a son of good family or a daughter of good family, whoever will uphold, recite,

Will be read, will be fully understood, will be properly attended to, those, Blessed One, how should I protect, rescue, and hide them? Subhūti said: Kauśika, do you truly see the Dharma that you would protect, rescue, and hide? Indra said: Venerable Subhūti, I have not truly seen such a Dharma that I would protect, rescue, and hide. Subhūti said: Kauśika, if a son of good family or a daughter of good family abides in the Perfection of Wisdom as taught, then that itself will become their protection, rescue, and hiding. If they are separated from the Perfection of Wisdom as taught, then humans or non-humans who seek opportunities will find opportunities. Kauśika, those who think to protect, rescue, and hide Bodhisattva-Mahāsattvas who practice the Perfection of Wisdom are like those who think to protect, rescue, and hide the sky. Kauśika, what do you think? Can you protect, rescue, and hide illusions, mirages, dreams, echoes, optical illusions, reflections, and cities of Gandharvas? Indra said: Venerable Subhūti, that is not possible. Subhūti said: Kauśika, similarly, those who think to protect, rescue, and hide Bodhisattva-Mahāsattvas who practice the Perfection of Wisdom, that will not be accomplished as thought, and they will become weary and unfortunate. Kauśika, what do you think? Can you protect, rescue, and hide a Tathāgata or an emanation of a Tathāgata? Indra said: Venerable Subhūti, that is not possible.

Can you protect, rescue, and conceal the realm of Dharma, the ultimate reality, suchness, and the inconceivable realm? Indra said: Venerable Subhuti, that is not possible. Subhuti said: Kausika, similarly, when Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas practice Prajnaparamita, whoever thinks of protecting, rescuing, and concealing them, that thought will not succeed as intended, and they will become beings with a weary fate. This is called a yoga that does not follow other conditions. Indra said: Venerable Subhuti, in what way does a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, practicing Prajnaparamita, fully know all dharmas to be like dreams, like illusions, like mirages, like echoes, like reflections, like cities of Gandharvas, like apparitions? Subhuti said: When a Bodhisattva Mahasattva does not take pride in dreams, is not arrogant because of dreams, and does not become arrogant towards dreams; similarly, up to apparitions, does not take pride in apparitions, is not arrogant because of apparitions, and does not become arrogant towards apparitions, then the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva will fully know all dharmas to be like illusions, and even all dharmas to be like apparitions. This is called the yoga of knowledge appearing in seven ways. These are the yogas that have been taught. The equality of yoga. Kausika, furthermore, when a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practices Prajnaparamita, they do not take pride in form, are not arrogant because of form, do not take pride in form as self, and do not become arrogant towards form; they do not take pride in dreams, are not arrogant because of dreams, do not take pride in dreams as self, and do not become arrogant towards dreams. Up to apparitions, they do not take pride in apparitions, are not arrogant because of apparitions, do not take pride in apparitions as self, and do not become
