ག །ཀཽ་ཤི་ཀ་ཤར་ཕྱོགས་ཀྱི་འཇིག་རྟེན་གྱི་ཁམས་གང་གཱའི་ཀླུང་གི་བྱེ་མ་སྙེད་ཀྱི་སེམས་ཅན་ཇི་སྙེད་པ་དེ་དག་ཐམས་ཅད་རིགས་ཀྱི་བུའམ། རིགས་ཀྱི་བུ་མོ་ལ་ལས་རྒྱུན་དུ་ཞུགས་པའི་འབྲས་བུ་ལ་བཀོད་པར་བྱས་པ་དང༌། དེ་བཞིན་དུ་ལྷོ་དང༌། ནུབ་དང༌། བྱང་དང༌། ཕྱོགས་མཚམས་རྣམས་དང༌། སྟེང་དང༌། འོག་གི་འཇིག་རྟེན་གྱི་ཁམས་གང་གཱའི་ཀླུང་གི་བྱེ་མ་སྙེད་ཀྱི་སེམས་ཅན་ཇི་སྙེད་པ་དེ་དག་ཐམས་ཅད་རིགས་ཀྱི་བུའམ། རིགས་ཀྱི་བུ་མོ་གང་ལ་ལས་ཞིག་གིས་རྒྱུན་དུ་ཞུགས་པའི་འབྲས་བུ་ལ་བཀོད་ན། ཀཽ་ཤི་ཀ་དེ་ཇི་སྙམ་དུ་སེམས། རིགས་ཀྱི་བུའམ། རིགས་ཀྱི་བུ་མོ་དེའི་བསོད་ནམས་དེའི་རྒྱུས་མང་དུ་འཕེལ་ལམ། བརྒྱ་བྱིན་གྱིས་གསོལ་པ། བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་མང་ངོ༌། །བདེ་བར་གཤེགས་པ་མང་ངོ༌། །བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཀྱིས་བཀའ་སྩལ་པ། ཀཽ་ཤི་ཀ་དེ་བས་ཀྱང་རིགས་ཀྱི་བུའམ། རིགས་ཀྱི་བུ་མོ་གང་གིས་ཤེས་ རབ་ཀྱི་ཕ་རོལ་ཏུ་ཕྱིན་པ་འདི་དོན་དང་ལྡན། ཡི་གེ་དང་ལྡན་པར་གཞན་ལ་རྒྱ་ཆེར་བརྗོད་དེ་བསྟན་པ་དང༌། དོན་ཡང་དག་པར་རབ་ཏུ་གསལ་བར་བྱས་པ་དང༌། རྣམ་པར་བཀྲོལ་ཞིང་རྣམ་པར་ཕྱེ་སྟེ་གསལ་བར་བྱས། ཡང་དག་པར་བསྟན་པར་བྱས་པ་དང༌། འདི་སྐད་དུ་ཚུར་རིགས་ཀྱི་བུ་ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་ཤེས་རབ་ཀྱི་ཕ་རོལ་ཏུ་ཕྱིན་པ་ཟུང་ཤིག །ཀུན་ཆུབ་པར་གྱིས་ཤིག །ཆོངས་ཤིག །ལྷོགས་ཤིག །ཚུལ་བཞིན་དུ་ཡིད་ལ་གྱིས་ཤིག །ཇི་སྐད་བསྟན་པའི་ཤེས་རབ་ཀྱི་ཕ་རོལ་ཏུ་ཕྱིན་པ་ལ་ནན་ཏན་དུ་གྱིས་ཤིག་ཅེས་བསྒོ་ན། ཆེས་དེའི་བསོད་ནམས་མང་དུ་འཕེལ་ལོ། །དེ་ཅིའི་ཕྱིར་ཞེ་ན། ཀཽ་ཤི་ཀ་ཤེས་རབ་ཀྱི་ཕ་རོལ་ཏུ་ཕྱིན་པ་འདི་ལས་རྒྱུན་དུ་ཞུགས་པ་རྣམས་ཡོད་པར་འགྱུར་བའི་ཕྱིར་རོ་ཞེས་བྱ་བ་ནི་བཀུར་བ་ཙམ་དགུ་པ་ཡིན་ནོ། །འདི་དག་གིས་ནི་བཀུར་བ་ཙམ་གསུངས་པ་ཡིན་ནོ། །ཀཽ་ཤི་ཀ་གཞན་ཡང་འཛམ་བུའི་གླིང་གི་སེམས་ཅན་ཇི་སྙེད་པ་དེ་དག་རིགས་ཀྱི་བུའམ་རིགས་ཀྱི་བུ་མོ་ལ་ལ་ཞིག་གིས་ལན་ཅིག་ཕྱིར་འོང་བའི་འབྲས་བུ་ལ་བཀོད་ཞེས་བྱ་བ་ནི་བསྔགས་པ་ཙམ་དང་པོ་ཡིན་ནོ། །ཇི་སྙེད་པ་ཕྱིར་མི་འོང་བའི་འབྲས་བུ་ལ་བཀོད་ཅེས་བྱ་བ་ནི་བསྔགས་པ་ཙམ་གཉིས་པ་ཡིན་ནོ། །ཇི་སྙེད་པ་དགྲ་བཅོམ་པ་ཉིད་ལ་རབ་ཏུ་བཀོད་ན། ཀཽ་ཤི་ཀ་དེ་ཇི་སྙམ་དུ་སེམས། རིགས་ཀྱི་བུའམ། རིགས་ཀྱི་བུ་མོ་དེའི་བསོད་ནམས་དེའི་རྒྱུས་མང་དུ་འཕེལ་ལམ། བརྒྱ་བྱིན་གྱིས་གསོལ་པ། བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་མང་ངོ༌། །བདེ་བར་གཤེགས་པ་མང་ངོ༌། །བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཀྱིས་བཀའ་སྩལ་པ།

O Kauśika, if a son or daughter of good family were to establish all the beings in the world-systems of the eastern direction, as many as the sands of the river Ganges, in the fruit of stream-entry; likewise, if a son or daughter of good family were to establish all the beings in the world-systems of the southern, western, northern directions, the intermediate directions, the upper and lower directions, as many as the sands of the river Ganges, in the fruit of stream-entry, what do you think, Kauśika? Would the merit of that son or daughter of good family increase greatly thereby? Indra replied: O Blessed One, greatly so! O Well-Gone One, greatly so! The Blessed One said: Kauśika, even more so, if a son or daughter of good family were to extensively recite and teach this Perfection of Wisdom, endowed with meaning and letters, to others, and were to thoroughly clarify its meaning, explain it in detail, analyze it, make it clear, and correctly teach it, saying: 'Come, son of good family, hold this Perfection of Wisdom, fully understand it, recite it, master it, attend to it properly, and diligently practice the Perfection of Wisdom as it has been taught,' then that person's merit would increase even more. Why is that? Kauśika, it is because stream-enterers will arise from this Perfection of Wisdom. This is the ninth mere reverence. These are what have been spoken of as mere reverence. Furthermore, Kauśika, if a son or daughter of good family were to establish all the beings in Jambudvipa in the fruit of once-returning, that would be the first mere praise. If they were to establish them in the fruit of non-returning, that would be the second mere praise. If they were to fully establish them in the state of Arhatship, what do you think, Kauśika? Would the merit of that son or daughter of good family increase greatly thereby? Indra replied: O Blessed One, greatly so! O Well-Gone One, greatly so! The Blessed One said:

Kauśika, furthermore, whichever son or daughter of good family extensively narrates, demonstrates, fully clarifies, elaborates, explains, and correctly teaches this Perfection of Wisdom to others with meaning and letters, and instructs, saying, 'Come, son of good family, you should uphold the Perfection of Wisdom, fully understand it, recite it, master it, properly attend to it, and dedicate yourself to the Perfection of Wisdom as taught,' then, their merit will greatly increase. Why is that? Kauśika, because from this Perfection of Wisdom, the fruits of once-returner, non-returner, and Arhat will arise. Kauśika, even if all beings in Jambudvipa were established in the fruits of once-returner, non-returner, and Arhat, let alone if any son or daughter of good family were to establish all beings in the four great continents world in Arhatship, establish all beings in the thousandfold world in Arhatship, establish all beings in the two-thousand intermediate world in Arhatship, establish all beings in the three-thousand great thousandfold world in Arhatship. Kauśika, whichever son or daughter of good family establishes all those beings in the eastern world realms, as numerous as the sands of the Ganges River, in Arhatship, and similarly, establishes all those beings in the southern, western, northern, intermediate directions, and upper and lower world realms, as numerous as the sands of the Ganges River, in Arhatship, Kauśika, what do you think? Would the merit of that son or daughter of good family greatly increase because of that? Indra replied: Bhagavan, very much so. Sugata, very much so. The Bhagavan declared:

Furthermore, Kauśika, if a son or daughter of good family, with meaning and letters, extensively and accurately clarifies and explains this Perfection of Wisdom to others, expounding, analyzing, distinguishing, and illuminating it, and accurately teaching it, and exhorting them thus: 'Son of good family, hold this Perfection of Wisdom, comprehend it, strive for it, master it, attend to it properly, and diligently apply yourself to the Perfection of Wisdom as taught,' then, that person's merit will greatly increase. Why is that? Kauśika, because from this Perfection of Wisdom will come those who are once-returners, non-returners, and arhats. This is called the third praise. Furthermore, Kauśika, in each of the ten directions, in worlds as numerous as the sands of the Ganges River, if a son or daughter of good family were to establish all those sentient beings in the state of solitary buddhas, what do you think, Kauśika?
