Why does it teach that Bodhisattva Mahasattvas are completely embraced through the aspect of non-focusing? Why does it transform into being superior to all the world and possessing excellent fearlessness through the aspect of non-focusing?

Because of emptiness, because of inner and outer emptiness, because of the emptiness of the nature of non-things, the three vehicles are extensively taught in the manner of non-apprehension. Because of the emptiness of the nature of non-things, it is taught that the Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas are completely embraced in the manner of non-apprehension. In the manner of non-apprehension, the Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas will become superior to all the worlds and possess excellent courage. Then, Indra, the lord of the gods, and as many gods as there are in the realm of the four great kings in this three-thousand great thousand world, and the gods up to Akanistha, thought to themselves: 'If the venerable Subhuti pours down and teaches the rain of Dharma in this way, then we too should manifest divine flowers, and with these flowers we should scatter offerings to the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, the Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas, the Sangha of monks, the venerable Subhuti, and this Perfection of Wisdom.' Then, Indra, the lord of the gods, and the gods from the realm of the four great kings of the three-thousand great thousand world up to Akanistha, also manifested many divine Mandarava flowers, and with these flowers they scattered offerings to the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, the Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas, the Sangha of monks, the venerable Subhuti, and this Perfection of Wisdom. They were completely scattered, utterly scattered, and scattered everywhere. From Indra, the lord of the gods, up to the gods of Akanistha, the flowers scattered by those gods filled the ground of this three-thousand great thousand world with flowers, and even in the sky above, palaces of flowers were piled up, radiant, delightful, and present everywhere. Then, the venerable Subhuti thought to himself: 'These flowers that have been scattered by the gods in this way are'

They had never seen them before in all the realms of the gods, these flowers are emanations. Like this, these flowers scattered by the sons of the gods are not produced from trees, shrubs, and vines, like this, these flowers scattered by the sons of the gods are produced from the mind, these flowers are not produced from trees, shrubs, and vines, they thought. Then, the lord of the gods, Indra, said this to the venerable Subhuti: Venerable Subhuti, these flowers have not arisen, these flowers are not produced from the mind, they are not produced from trees, shrubs, and vines. Subhuti said: Kauśika, if you say that these flowers have not arisen, these flowers are not produced from the mind, they are not produced from trees, shrubs, and vines, Kauśika, whatever has not arisen, that is not a flower either. The lord of the gods, Indra, said: Venerable Subhuti, is it only these flowers that have not arisen? Or has form also not arisen? Feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness have also not arisen? Subhuti said: Kauśika, it is not only these flowers that have not arisen, Kauśika, form has also not arisen, whatever has not arisen, that is not form. Kauśika, feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness have also not arisen, whatever has not arisen, that is not consciousness. Kauśika, the eye has not arisen, whatever has not arisen, that is not the eye. Kauśika, similarly, the ear, nose, tongue, body, and mind have not arisen, whatever has not arisen, that is not the mind. Kauśika, the earth element has not arisen, whatever has not arisen, that is not the earth element. Kauśika, similarly, the water element, fire element, wind element, space element, and consciousness element have not arisen, whatever has not arisen, that is not the consciousness element. Kauśika, the perfection of generosity has not arisen, whatever has not arisen, that is not the perfection of generosity. Kauśika, similarly, the perfection of discipline, etc.
