And dedicating those roots of virtue to unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment in a manner without characteristics and without action, ensuring that they never become two, and also never become non-two, such dedication is endowed with the great dedication of the bodhisattvas, the great beings. Then, countless billions of hundreds of thousands of Brahma's retinue gods arrived at the place where the Blessed One was, and bowed to the Blessed One's two feet with their heads, saying: Blessed One, in this way, those bodhisattvas, great beings, who are embraced by the perfection of wisdom and skillful means, those sons of good family or daughters of good family, those who previously had an attitude of fixation, their roots of virtue are overwhelmed, it is truly wonderful! They made a sound and then proclaimed a sound of praise. Similarly, Brahma's attendants, the Great Brahma, the gods of limited light, the gods of immeasurable light, the gods of clear light, the gods of limited virtue, the gods of immeasurable virtue, the gods of abundant virtue, the gods without clouds, the gods of increasing merit, the gods of great fruit, the Pure Abode, and the Akanishtha gods also arrived in countless billions of hundreds of thousands at the place where the Blessed One was, and bowed to the Blessed One's two feet with their heads, saying: Blessed One, in this way, those bodhisattvas, great beings, who are embraced by the perfection of wisdom and skillful means, those sons of good family or daughters of good family, those who previously had an attitude of fixation, their roots of virtue are overwhelmed, it is truly wonderful! They made a sound and then proclaimed a sound of praise. Then, the Blessed One spoke to the sons of the gods of the retinue of the Four Great Kings and the sons of the gods of the Pure Abodes: Sons of the gods, if all the sentient beings in the three thousand great thousand world realms were to enter into unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment, and all of them, with respect to the Tathagatas, Arhats, perfectly complete Buddhas, the Sangha of Hearers, and including the Pratyekabuddhas, of the past, future, and present, from the arising of the first thought of enlightenment up to unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment,

in the manner of, rejoicing in between rejoicing, from rejoicing to unsurpassed perfect complete enlightenment, when dedicating, that son of good family or daughter of good family, this son of good family or daughter of good family, the former ones, their merit increases greatly, this root of virtue, compared to the former root of virtue, even one percent is not close, even up to the period of cause is unbearable, this is the dedication of a Bodhisattva Mahasattva in a manner without object of focus, it is called excellent. The so-called "in between unsurpassed" is the action of dedication, these are the ways of explaining the dedication mind. The mind of rejoicing. Then, the venerable Subhuti said to the Blessed One, "Blessed One, any son of good family or daughter of good family who rejoices and dedicates, gathers all those roots of virtue of the accumulation of merit, combines and measures them, and then rejoices in between rejoicing, Blessed One, in what way does rejoicing become extremely abundant? Does rejoicing become unsurpassed?" The Blessed One said, "Whenever a son of good family or daughter of good family, towards the Tathagatas, Arhats, perfectly complete Buddhas of the past, future, and present, and the Sangha of Shravakas, and those with Pratyekabuddhas, and also the roots of virtue of all other sentient beings, not taking, not giving, not being arrogant, and also without object of focus, they think to themselves, 'In this Dharma, there is no arising, no cessation, no defilement, no purification, those Dharmas have no decrease, no increase, no coming, no going, no becoming aggregates, no existence, and no non-existence.' In such various ways, towards the suchness of the Dharmas of the past, future, and present, the suchness without error, the suchness that is not different, the Dharma-nature, the abiding nature of Dharma, the faultless nature of Dharma, as it is, so I rejoice.
