Likewise. The eighteen unshared qualities of a Buddha are also the same. What are the objects to be dedicated to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment? What are the objects of focus? What is enlightenment? What is the mind? What is the root of virtue? What is the object of meritorious action endowed with rejoicing? Maitreya said: Venerable Subhuti, if a Bodhisattva engages in the six perfections, attends to and honors many Buddhas, generates roots of virtue, and is also completely embraced by virtuous friends, and learns all dharmas that are empty of their own nature, then those objects, those objects of focus, those Buddhas, the Blessed Ones, those roots of virtue, and those objects of meritorious action endowed with rejoicing, are not marked as signs and dedicated to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. How is it not in the nature of duality? It is not in the nature of non-duality. It is not in the nature of signs. It is not in the nature of signlessness. It is not in the nature of objects of focus. It is not in the nature of non-objects of focus. It is not in the nature of being without all afflictions. It is not in the nature of purification. It is not in the nature of arising. It is not in the nature of ceasing. Thus, it will be dedicated. If those Bodhisattvas do not engage in the six perfections, do not attend to and honor many Buddhas, do not generate roots of virtue, are not completely embraced by virtuous friends, and do not learn all dharmas that are empty of their own nature, then those objects, those objects of focus, those Buddhas, the Blessed Ones, those roots of virtue, and those aspirations to enlightenment endowed with rejoicing, are marked as signs and dedicated to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. Venerable Subhuti, such an exposition of the Perfection of Wisdom should not be explained in the presence of a Bodhisattva who has newly entered the Great Vehicle. Thus.

Therefore, the perfection of meditative concentration, the perfection of diligence, the perfection of patience, the perfection of discipline, the perfection of generosity, and the emptiness of inner emptiness, up to the emptiness of the nature of non-things, such a teaching should not be spoken in front of a bodhisattva mahasattva who has newly entered the Great Vehicle. Why is that? Because even if that person has only a little faith in it, even if they have only a little joy, even if they have only a little delight, even if they have only a little respect, that too will disappear. It should be spoken in front of a non-returning bodhisattva mahasattva. It should be taught. It should be taught up to the emptiness of the nature of non-things. Having heard it in that way, he will not be afraid, will not be completely afraid, and will not become associated with fear. Even if he is completely taken care of by a virtuous friend, has relied on past victors to create roots of virtue, and has attended to and honored many Buddhas. O venerable Subhuti, in that way, a bodhisattva mahasattva should dedicate to unsurpassed, perfect and complete enlightenment the object of meritorious action that is endowed with rejoicing. Subhuti said: If Maitreya, with what mind does he rejoice and then dedicate? If the mind of dedication is exhausted, ceased, separated and transformed, and those things, those objects, those roots of virtue are also exhausted, ceased, separated and transformed, then with what mind endowed with rejoicing, what thing, what object, what root of virtue should be dedicated to unsurpassed, perfect and complete enlightenment? With what mind should the mind be dedicated? If that is the case, then there is no meeting place for the two minds, and the nature of the mind cannot be dedicated either. If a bodhisattva mahasattva is practicing the perfection of wisdom, like this, the perfection of wisdom is without substance. Similarly, the perfection of meditative concentration, the perfection of diligence,

The perfection of patience, the perfection of discipline, and the perfection of generosity are without substance. Form, feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness are without substance. The thirty-seven factors of enlightenment are without substance. The immeasurables, the meditations, the formless absorptions, the noble truths, the eight liberations, and the nine successive abidings are without substance. Emptiness, signlessness, wishlessness, and the six superknowledges are without substance. All emptiness, all samadhis, and all dharani gates are without substance. The ten powers of the Tathagata, the four fearlessnesses, the four analytical knowledges, and the eighteen unshared qualities of the Buddha are without substance. If one knows this, the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva should dedicate the object of merit, endowed with rejoicing, entirely to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. If one dedicates in this way, it will be entirely dedicated to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. Then, the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva Maitreya said to the Venerable Subhuti: Venerable Subhuti, how does a son or daughter of good family who has newly entered the Great Vehicle dedicate those roots of virtue entirely to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment? How does one take hold of and dedicate the object of merit endowed with rejoicing? Subhuti said: Maitreya, if that Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who has newly entered the Great Vehicle practices the Perfection of Wisdom, and holds the Perfection of Wisdom in a way that does not fixate and in a way that is signless. Similarly, the Perfection of Meditation, the Perfection of Diligence, the Perfection of Patience, the Perfection of Discipline, and the Perfection of Generosity in a way that does not fixate and,
