With flowers and incense, perfumes and garlands, unguents and powders, clothing and umbrellas, banners and flags, and garlands of lamps all around, with various offerings, serving and honoring, and making offerings, to the relics of the Tathagata, the Arhat, the Perfectly Enlightened Buddha, who has passed into complete Nirvana, having erected stupas, and after erecting them, serving and honoring them with flowers, incense, perfumes, garlands, unguents, powders, clothing, umbrellas, banners, and many flags, and making offerings, then from these actions, a great multitude of merit will increase. After praying thus, the Bhagavan spoke to Indra, the lord of the gods: Kauśika. Therefore, I ask you, as you are able to endure, declare it here. Kauśika, what do you think? The all-knowing nature of the Tathagata, the Arhat, the Perfectly Enlightened Buddha, and also the manifestation of this self-nature of the Tathagata, by learning which path did the Tathagata, the Arhat, the Perfectly Enlightened Buddha, attain complete enlightenment in unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, so that such a self-nature would be manifested and accomplished? After speaking thus, Indra, the lord of the gods, said to the Bhagavan: Bhagavan, it is by learning this Prajnaparamita that the Tathagata, the Arhat, the Perfectly Enlightened Buddha, attained complete enlightenment in unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, so that this self-nature was manifested and accomplished. The Bhagavan said: Kauśika, it is so, it is so. It is by learning this Prajnaparamita that the Tathagata, the Arhat, the Perfectly Enlightened Buddha, attained complete enlightenment in unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, so that this self-nature was manifested and accomplished. Therefore, Kauśika, by obtaining this self-nature, the Tathagata is the Tathagata.

It is not counted as earth. Because of attaining omniscience, it is counted as Tathagata Tathagata. Kausika, whatever is omniscience, that arises from the Prajnaparamita. Therefore, obtaining this self-nature of the Tathagata arises from the Prajnaparamita, and it becomes the basis of all-knowing wisdom. Therefore, relying on this basis, the attainment of all-knowing wisdom will occur. The Buddha will arise, the Dharma will arise, and the Sangha will arise. Therefore, obtaining this self-nature is also because it has the cause and basis of this wisdom of omniscience, so it becomes the stupa of all sentient beings, and should be worshiped, served, respected as a teacher, respected, remembered, and revered. Even if I completely pass into Nirvana, these relics should be worshiped in this way. Kausika, therefore, whether it is a son of good family or a daughter of good family, if they write this Prajnaparamita and put it in a book, hold it, read it, and use flowers, incense, perfume, garlands, unguents, powders, clothes, umbrellas, banners, and various kinds of flags to serve, respect as a teacher, respect, offer, remember, and revere it, then this itself will increase even more merit. Why? Because those sons of good family or daughters of good family will be offering to the wisdom of omniscience. Kausika, whether it is a son of good family or a daughter of good family, if they put the relics of the Tathagata who has completely passed into Nirvana into a stupa of the nature of the seven precious jewels, or put them into a container of the nature of the seven precious jewels and cherish them, and then use flowers, incense, perfume, garlands, unguents, powders, clothes, umbrellas, and many banners to serve them, up to reverence, compared to that, if someone writes this Prajnaparamita

Whether one makes the land a place of veneration or places it in a book, performing rituals for it, regarding it as a lama, making it a place of veneration, making offerings to it, remembering it, and treating it with respect, this itself will greatly increase merit. Why is that? Because it becomes an offering to the wisdom of omniscience, and the five perfections also arise from this. Internal emptiness, and even the emptiness of the nature of non-things, arise from this. The four mindfulnesses, right abandonments, miraculous feet, faculties, powers, branches of enlightenment, the path, supernormal knowledges, and the truths also arise from this. Immeasurables, concentrations, and formless absorptions also arise from this. The ten powers of the Tathagata, the four fearlessnesses, individual correct knowledge, and the eighteen unshared qualities of the Buddha also arise from this. All samadhis and all doors of dharani also arise from this. Maturing beings also arises from this. Purifying the Buddha-field also arises from this. The bodhisattva mahasattva's perfect lineage, perfect enjoyment, and perfect retinue also arise from this. Great love and great compassion also arise from this. The great śāla of the kshatriya caste, the great śāla of the brahmin caste, and the great śāla of the householder caste also arise from this. The sons of the gods of the four great king's retinues, the thirty-three, the No Strife, the Joyful, the Delighting in Emanation, the Controlling Others' Emanations, the Brahma Host, the Brahma Assistant, the Great Brahma, and the sons of the gods up to Akanishta also arise from this. Stream-enterers, once-returners, non-returners, arhats, and pratyekabuddhas also arise from this. Bodhisattva mahasattvas also arise from this. The Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Complete Buddha also arises from this. Inconceivable
