In order to fully abandon all internal and external dharmas of those beings, and thereby establish those beings in the perfection of generosity.

The four mindfulnesses, the superknowledges, the ten powers, the fearlessnesses, the individual perfect knowledge, and the eighteen unshared qualities of a Buddha are well established. The fruit of stream-enterer, the fruit of once-returner, the fruit of non-returner, and the fruit of arhat are well established. For the sake of self-awakening, it is well established. For the sake of unsurpassed, perfect, and complete awakening, it is well established. Kauśika, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the conduct of a Bodhisattva in this way, these benefits arise in this visible dharma. In other lifetimes as well, having manifestly awakened to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete awakening, turning the wheel of dharma, and having well established sentient beings according to their aspirations, they will completely pass into the realm of nirvana without remainder of aggregates. Kauśika, this benefit that arises in other lifetimes for Bodhisattva Mahasattvas is called the forbearance of subsequent knowledge of cessation. Kauśika, furthermore, in whatever direction of the earth a son or daughter of good family holds, explains, recites, comprehends, and properly attends to this Perfection of Wisdom, in that direction, demons and gods belonging to the demon race, or other wandering non-Buddhists, or arrogant individuals, will not be able to come to distract the mind, argue, dispute, or contradict this Perfection of Wisdom. Underneath that, benefits will arise for them, namely, by the order of listening to this Perfection of Wisdom, they will definitely arise through the three vehicles and reach the end of suffering. Kauśika, it is like this, for example, there is a medicine called rtsi ma ghi that pacifies all poisons. There, a snake or a creature tormented by hunger and seeking food sees a certain kind of creature. Desiring to eat that kind of creature, it follows and approaches it.

Those beings who are attached to things fear and are terrified by death. They go to a place called "Rtsi ma ghi (Tibetan)," and merely by smelling the scent of that herb, they turn back. Why is that? Kausika! Just as this herb subdues the venom of snakes, it is because the Rtsi ma ghi (Tibetan) herb possesses such qualities. Kausika! That herb possesses such power. Kausika! Similarly, if any son or daughter of good family holds, recites, understands, and properly attends to this Prajnaparamita, then, Kausika! Whatever arises as arguments, debates, or oppositions against that person will quickly be pacified and disappear due to the glory and power of the Prajnaparamita. They will disappear from where they arose and will not increase. This is known as the subsequent knowledge of cessation. Why is that? Kausika! It is because the Prajnaparamita pacifies all dharmas and does not cause them to increase. Which dharmas are pacified and do not increase? For example, desire, hatred, delusion, ignorance, formations, consciousness, name and form, the six sense bases, contact, feeling, craving, grasping, becoming, birth, old age and death, sorrow, lamentation, pain, distress, disturbance, and even the entire great mass of suffering are pacified and do not increase. Obstructions, obscurations, latent tendencies, manifestations, the view of self, the view of sentient beings, the view of life, the view of nourishment, the view of a person, the view of an individual, the view of an agent, the view of a receiver, the view of a knower, the view of a seer, the view of annihilation, the view of permanence, the view of existence, the view of non-existence, and all forms of views, miserliness, and bad morality.
