Subhuti, when a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, he generates aspiration in order not to generate unwholesome and unwholesome dharmas that have not yet arisen. He strives. He exerts diligence. He holds his mind well. He establishes it well and properly. He generates aspiration in order to abandon unwholesome and unwholesome dharmas that have already arisen. He strives. He exerts diligence. He holds his mind well. He establishes it well and properly. He generates aspiration in order to generate wholesome dharmas that have not yet arisen. He strives.
