And, the immeasurables, and the formless absorptions, and the five eyes, and the ten powers of the Thus-gone One, and the four fearlessnesses, and the four individual correct knowledges, and the unmixed qualities of the Buddha, then one is practicing on signs. One is not practicing on the Perfection of Wisdom. O Blessed One, if a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, when practicing on the Perfection of Wisdom, due to unskilled means, thinks, "I am practicing on the Perfection of Wisdom," then one is practicing on an object. Thinking that there is no self, that Bodhisattva-Mahasattva is practicing on signs. O Blessed One, if a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva thinks, "Whatever is practicing in that way is practicing on the Perfection of Wisdom. That is the Perfection of Wisdom," then one is practicing on signs. That should be known as the unskilled means of a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva. Then, the venerable Shariputra said to the venerable Subhuti, "Venerable Subhuti, how should a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva be known as unskilled in means?" Subhuti said, "Venerable Shariputra, in this way, when a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva is practicing on the Perfection of Wisdom, abiding in form, and especially believing, and completely knowing, and abiding in feeling, and especially believing, and completely knowing, and abiding in perception, and especially believing, and completely knowing, and abiding in formations, and especially believing, and completely knowing, and abiding in consciousness, and especially believing, and completely knowing, then that is abiding in form, and especially believing, and completely knowing, and abiding in feeling, and especially believing, and completely knowing, and abiding in perception, and especially believing, and completely knowing, and abiding in formations, and especially believing, and completely knowing, and abiding in consciousness, and especially believing, and completely knowing, then one is manifestly fabricating on form.
