Consciousness is pleasure or pain, having self or without self, peaceful or unpeaceful, should not be used. Is solitary or not solitary, should not be used. At that time, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva should know that it is skillful means. Why is that? Venerable Shariputra, thus, the emptiness of form is not form. There is no form other than emptiness. There is no emptiness other than form. Form itself is emptiness. Emptiness itself is form. Feeling, perception, formations, and the emptiness of consciousness are also not consciousness. There is no consciousness other than emptiness. There is no emptiness other than consciousness. Emptiness itself is consciousness. Consciousness itself is emptiness. Similarly, the twelve sources, the eighteen realms, the twelve links of dependent origination, the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment, the perfections, the meditations, the immeasurables, the formless absorptions, the ten powers of the Tathagata, the four fearlessnesses, the four analytical knowledges, and the emptiness between the eighteen unshared qualities of the Buddha are also not the qualities of the Buddha. There are no qualities of the Buddha other than emptiness. There is no emptiness other than the qualities of the Buddha. Emptiness itself is the unshared qualities of the Buddha.

Emptiness. Shariputra, endowed with life! A Bodhisattva Mahasattva who practices the Prajnaparamita in this way should be known as skillful in means. Chapter Eleven. Shariputra, endowed with life! A Bodhisattva Mahasattva who practices the Prajnaparamita in this way has the potential to manifestly and perfectly awaken to unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment. When practicing the Prajnaparamita, if one closely realizes some dharmas, one does not practice the Prajnaparamita. If one does not closely realize them, one does not practice the Prajnaparamita. If one both closely realizes and does not closely realize, one does not practice the Prajnaparamita. If one neither closely realizes nor does not closely realize, one does not practice the Prajnaparamita. Shariputra said: "Rabjor, endowed with life, why is it that when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Prajnaparamita, if one closely realizes, one does not practice the Prajnaparamita? If one does not closely realize, one does not practice the Prajnaparamita? If one both closely realizes and does not closely realize, one does not practice the Prajnaparamita? If one neither closely realizes nor does not closely realize, one does not practice the Prajnaparamita?" Rabjor said: "Shariputra, endowed with life, it is because one does not perceive inherent existence in the Prajnaparamita. Why is that? It is because the Prajnaparamita is the nature of non-things. Shariputra, endowed with life, for that reason, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Prajnaparamita, one does not closely realize 'it is practicing.' One does not closely realize 'it is not practicing.' One does not closely realize 'it is practicing and also not practicing.' One does not closely realize 'it is neither practicing nor not practicing.' Why is that? It is because one has understood all dharmas as the nature of non-things and has not abandoned them.

Shariputra, thus, the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who practices the Perfection of Wisdom, his mind does not shrink, nor is he at all afraid, not alarmed, nor at all seized by fear. The Bodhisattva-Mahasattva is known to be close to the All-Knowingness. This is called the object and difference of great patience. The object and difference of the supreme Dharma. Shariputra, All-Knowingness is also without entity, therefore, it is non-dual and inseparable. That Samadhi of the Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas, called 'All Dharmas are Unborn,' is vast, foremost, definitely immeasurable, and cannot be taken away by the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas. Shariputra, the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who practices with this Samadhi will quickly awaken to Unsurpassed Perfect Enlightenment. Shariputra said: World Honored One, by abiding in which Samadhi will the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva quickly awaken to Unsurpassed Perfect Enlightenment? Subhuti said: Shariputra, there is a Samadhi of the Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas called 'Courageous Conduct.' Likewise, there is the Samadhi called 'Jewel Seal.' There is the Samadhi called 'Lion's Play.' There is the Samadhi called 'Good Moon.' There is the Samadhi called 'Moon Banner Image.' There is the Samadhi called 'Transcending All Dharmas.' There is the Samadhi called 'Seal of All Dharmas.' There is the Samadhi called 'Universally Viewing the Crown.' There is the Samadhi called 'Definite Realm of Dharma.' There is the Samadhi called 'Definite Banner Auspiciousness.'
